He just said he wishes series were one-game instead of a 7 game series. Says he got Dantoni and Lou Williams to increase the variance but "a seven game series is a variance crusher." Also, "our first round series is going to be hard. Really hard. And right now the odds have us going against Memphis, but we'll see."

Also says he thinks Terrance Williams was his worst trade. Says they were desperate for a high upside guy after the Yao-Tmac implosion. Also mentions Jeremy Lin and Royce White as being similar.

 

He believes Dekker is better than Harrison Barnes. I hope that ends up being true.

I guess I'll need to listen. But was he talking about GSW. Sure the high variance, huge underdog wants a march madness approach against the heavy favorite. But every big underdog would. But first round, I don't see high variance making 1 game more favorable for us than 4 of 7. If you stink up that first game ....

 

The most Interesting point was in the last 2 minutes when he said that when we're up by 10 in the fourth quarter he would prefer us to slow down the pace, and that theoretically he's right. But coach Dantoni prefers to stick with the same rythem and not confuse the players.

I totally agree with Morey 100% in that statement, they've blown many late 4th quarter leads by not slowing the ball down and it can be frustrating to watch. The great teams always have the ability to change rhythm when they need to close out games.

-thought Morris had second best chance to be star level
-seems happy with the team and not too concerned

He seemed a lot less guarded this interview, which ultimatey means that it was more revealing

He said the Terrance Williams trade was #1, and then mentioned missing on drafting Deandre Jordan when he was pressed on it.

 

Any news on his diet? Already triple chinned and now ominously close to adding a 4th

 

Where are the analytics and advanced stats on his waist size and body fat percentage???

 

I had my employees @engr chris and @JCDenton run some calcs and some code and every time they mentioned getting an Error message

Keith Jones may be greasy but he's actually been doing a pretty good job of resuscitating @tinman!

 

I'd have to say Morey's biggest mistake was becoming Houston's GM because of over-critical and ungrateful dudes like you. Mind you, I wanted Kawhi over Marcus at the time, but Clutch also wanted Harold Miner I believe over Robert Horry IIRC. People make wrong choices sometimes, but dudes like you who continue to be petty about things that can't be fixed are da worst even if it is in jest.
