Is there Any Poster Who Wants the Rockets to Lose More than @Downtown Sniper?

McGrady is a much basketball player, than Jeremy Lin.

However McGrady fans are not much better than Jeremy Lin fans.

 

DonKnock is the first person I've ignored. And it feels great. The posts I saw from him and the way he speaks, it honestly seems like it's a 12 year old.

I'm not pulling that play on tinman yet, because he just makes things too easy for me. I and many others get great satisfaction out of those beatdowns.

EDIT: How old are you tinman? If you don't mind me asking. Just wondering whether there's much point in extending an invite for a beer when I'm back over there and meeting the man, the myth, the legend.

 

I will never put you ignore, I believe you are a true Rockets fan, but I know back in the day you love Tracy McGrady.
And I know you really disliked Harden last year, to the point this thread was made by a newer Clutchfan.

This thread was not made in relation to any post I've made in previous seasons.

This thread was made because during one of the games this season when the Rockets had a seemingly insurmountable lead, we did what we seemingly do best and coughed it up.

I can't even remember which game it was since there's already been a few like that.

All I want is for this team to have the heart of a champion. You can understand me wanting that can't you?

Apparently, wanting the team to better themselves is not something DonKnock agrees with. As I'm not blindly supporting the Rockets 100% and agree with the lack of heart they sometimes display. You can understand me wanting that eradicated can't you?

DonKnock didn't like being knocked off his high horse and called out for making a stupid thread about people not being fans because we voiced our displeasure, and we voiced things we wish this team would stop doing - so they could be better and hopefully cross over into 'great' territory.

Basically, things every single Rockets fan wants.

There's things I dislike about Harden to this day. ie his horrible defense in transition where he just swings an arm at the player driving by and doesn't even move his feet. That doesn't make me a hater. That makes me realistic about wanting Harden to improve, so in turn this team improves.

 

Harden is not a perfect player on the court or off the court for sure. However he has proven that he is the elite and durable superstar that the Rockets have missed since Hakeem.

We're not the #1 seed or the #2 seed, so I'm not going to pretend we are. I don't think this team has a lack of heart. I think this team , like all Mike D'Antoni teams, is not a defensive first team.

Also Harden could be tired based on the scheduling. All the NBA stars are, even LEBRON. This is a torrid pace and the offense is a run and gun offense.

Clutchfans gets revved up all the time, and you should know this, you aren't a newb here. And you also know the season is LONG. anything can happen, look at Golden State.

 

Voice your displeasure after the game is over. DonKnock only calls out the folks who give up on the team during the game.

NEVER give up on the Rockets during the game. That's bad, man.

It's not worth your time. tinman is best put on ignore. Regardless of what anyone says, he is the worst poster in the GARM.

It's really unpleasant to come to a site like this and see someone being so stupidly condescending and divisive when we are all here for the same purpose: to discuss our Rockets.

This guy has it right.

tinman has been trolling this site for so long. The admins don't care and it's really a black stain on the clutchfans community overall.

The site becomes 100x better after you put tinman on ignore. Try it.

 

Ehh "displeasure" is one thing, clutchfans had a full on meltdown when we were losing to the Pacers the other day, you would think we were on a ten game losing streak and we were being blown out by Dallas, lol. People go overboard sometimes man, and it's funny those same people going off on the team hate criticism and god forbid you point out that they were wrong or overacted another meltdown ensues. The is a Rockets fan board if you talk smack about the Rockets you should be prepared to hear some criticism about yourself. As for heart of a champion this team already has heart all you have to do is look at the standings. A lot of you guys are trying to draw blood from a rock. The Rockets have one superstar we are overachieving but a lot of people act like we are underachieving. If we played any better we'd be the only team in the league with one superstar in the top 4 in standings... oh wait we are in the top four. Not sure what else you guys want it would be extremely unlikely for us to have a better record than teams like the warriors cavs and spurs with just one superstar on our team. You guys want us to have a better record than superteams with just James Harden and a bunch of shooters, just totally unrealistic. Whenever you find yourself getting so pissed about Harden's defense remember that Curry and Westbrook dont play defense either and Harden's defense has been good enough to take us to the playoffs every year he's been here. But hey we could always go back to fighting for the 9th seed if you want.

 

Yes, there are some comments made which aren't constructive at all and have the roof is falling in mind frame.

My post wasn't about that. Again, I don't understand how wanting the team to eradicate some simple things that they keep doing - is hating.

How can anyone sit there and proclaim I'm hating the Rockets, because I voice an opinion that Capela needs to slow down and view the court when passing the ball off to Harden. I want those few turnovers reduced, because I know when it gets to the business end those possessions are going to be crucial. Sorry, but that isn't talking smack about the Rockets in my view.

I agree wholeheartedly about your sentiment with the Rockets being ridiculously good right now - especially considering what people (well... at least those who don't have a clue about Rockets basketball) in the industry thought we would finish this season as.

I'm not sure if you're lumping me in with the doom and gloom naysayers because I don't see things that way.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not harping on Harden's defense as a whole.

It is those few instances on the fast break that annoy me. (For instance, I actually want coach to put Harden on the post on D because he is our BEST post defender for big men such as the likes of Griffin and Z-Bo.) Now there are some examples where it's completely necessary for him to do what he does (ie in foul trouble) but there are other instances where it is just a whole lot of lack of effort.

Again, that is not me hating, that is just my honest opinion of that situation.

I can give you about 94 screenshots of my conversations with friends on my phone absolutely berating Curry and his 'defense' (teams who do well against the Warriors tend to go directly at Curry... it's not an outlier... it's a recurring thiing). Harden doesn't fall into that same category so please don't insinuate that I'm on the 'Harden doesn't play defense' bandwagon

 

That's the thing. I never actually did give up on the Rockets.

In the midst of once again blowing a near 20 point lead, I said "Oh **** this team, why is it every year this teams' heart is questioned. No matter the personnel"

I'm passionate about this team, and I get annoyed when the exact same situation plays out time, and time again. Season after season. I can remember ever since the Ming and McGrady years, this team used to cough up double digit leads like it ain't no thing.

Doesn't stop me from eagerly awaiting the next game though. Doesn't make me search for a better team to try and follow. Just makes me hope for the next 24-72 hours that the Rockets are going to come out to make amends and put a beatdown on the next unfortunate team who plays us.

People can disagree with my opinion all they want, as seen with tinman we all have differing views on things.

But don't ever question my love for this team.

Hey, I never called you out for being a fake fan. I was just trying to shed some light on why DonKnock called you out in the game thread.

"**** this team" isn't exactly a great comment to post in a game thread, you probably should have checked yourself before clicking "Post Reply" on that.

If you think about it, we're all a team here at Clutchfans. We don't have to like each other 100% or anything like that but you never give up on the team and you certainly never say "**** this team", otherwise duder himself will come looking for you.
