Was game presentation any different for opening game at Toyota Center?

    Since I am in NYC, I couldn't be there for the opening game at Toyota Center (unlike for MMP and Reliant). I know that there are these kickass scoreboards, video displays, and other stuff. My question is have they updated the lame drumming intro into something more hitech given the fact that they have all these new gizmos.

    It seemed like they were playing the same crappy music and sound effects dthat they did at Compaq in between quarters and during play. Tim for the love of God can you do something about them having those sound effects and music during play. Why they hell does there have to be so much noise during play. It takes away from the game and it looks bush league in my mind.

    Also did they replace that awful PA announcer that everyone hated. Blinebury in his article said there were no snazzy player introductions. Is Les that cheap or are the Rockets that inept.

    I was at the game last night and they had the same boring presentation with the drummers and yes it looks like they kept that new announcer that sucks. I think les should go to some of the other arenas like the staple center and take a look at what we could do better and please just get rid of the drummers. I enjoyed the breakdancers and I noticed that while they were dancing some of the rocket players where paying more attention to the kids dancing than to jvg especially cuttino and eric piat..
