With Durant out, Warriors are more motivated to attain the #1 spot, they don't want to have a second round meeting with the dangerous houston rockets
Well it's scary when we got them at home this season, that being said I think our chances are very low with or without KD.
the 2 spot is out of our control at this point. I'm sure the Rockets were gunning for the 2 and even the 1 spot early on in the season. But the difficult schedule losses started happening and they are all but mathematically out of the running for the 2 spot.
You try to win as many games as you can. You always try to win and get high seeding. Durants injury doesnt change that in any way. Also it looks like rockets are near locked at 3 seed.
Hopefully the Clippers will slip to 6th. I'd actually rather play them then either the Jazz, Grizz, or Thunder
First Pop says Rockets are the only team he watches video on, now GSW says they don't want to face the Rockets? DON'T TAKE THE BAIT!
What's with the lack of confidence? GSW has an elite big 4....I get it. But that does not translate to a blow out. KD is their most dangerous and versatile weapon. Rockets have a great chance even if KD goes off (which he will). Steph and Klay, they shoot crazy far 3's like the Rockets do but the Rockets have more bombers that shoot more 3's than any team. Steph and Klay at their best shooting can be offset by Gordon and Lou...yes I just said that. Then you add in the rest of the bombers Harden, Ryno, Dekker (who is a dynamic player as well), Ariza (possible) and Bev (also possible...but not a lock) and teams including GSW just have to HOPE the Rockets are all off on the same night. Granted that just happened against the Pacers a few nights ago (I was at the game smh). But I don't THINK the Rockets will all go cold on the same night very often. More often than not, teams including GSW hoping the Rockets miss their 3s would be warranted, because the Rockets will just keep shooting.
As usual, we're going to be looking way too far ahead. Like the year we were looking like the best team to knock off the Spurs only to lose in the first round to the Blazers. Lets hope we get by OKC or Memphis in the first round.
Doesn't work that way. For playoff seeding it matches up like this: 1 vs 8 2 vs 7 3 vs 6 4 vs 5 The benefit of the higher seeding is that you draw a much lower seed giving you 1st round advantage. So #8 would match up with GSW in first round (likely) Having the Rockets climb the ladder from 3 to #2 would only give bragging rights and a draw to play #7 instead of #6 seed. Caphiche?
