If you have any friends in marketing/trading for oil and gas, or do logistics/scheduling for a trading company, they've got corporate sponsorship out the wazoo and may have some extra cook-off tickets. Lots of those guys are flying in from Dallas and to a lesser extent San Antonio, so you could broaden your scope.
My company has rodeo cook off tickets, but if I pass some to you I'll need your name, company, affiliation, and a reason. They monitor who we send invites too. If you aren't industry relevant, they won't do it.
keep in mind before you get in, you gotta pay for parking AND admission, that should set up back more than 50 bucks
I plan to ride the metro rail from downtown. So parking won't be an issue. And admission is 15 but luckily I found someone selling those 2-20
