[CBS] Rockets have a crazy plan to beat the Warriors (and it just might work)

Calderon truly falls under "I got you talent coach, you figure out how to put it on the floor and make it work".

Then if it does not work: "I got you Calderon. Not my fault you couldn't figure out how to play him with harden, e.g., Lou, and pat at the same time."

I think anything beyond half court should be a 4 pointer...

 

Pacers have the interior post presence to close out hard on our wings without worrying about giving up too many paint points.
Warriors don't have the same interior D.

 

Might need to be better than 26th in the league in shooting to execute this plan properly.

I'm old school (I don't even like the 3-point line) and it's taken me a long time to get used to watching my favorite team jack up 80 3-pointers a quarter, but I think I may finally be coming around this year. At least this year we actually have a plan, unlike last year when we couldn't even decide who our go-to player was.

Sign me up for the "if you can't beat them, join them" camp. But like others have said, it looks like we're going to have to deal with SA before we get to think about trying to beat GS.

 

Would sign Calderon or Scola, but would mean dropping BOTH Brown and a young guy, either Nanu or Wiltjer. Need that last 2 active roster spots for a 5 and a wing.

 

I think Keith Jones already stored away a lot of it during recent physical, i heard it was the only reason rockets pursued dmo and as soon as theyve got it they released him...

If the plan is to rely on the 3pt shot even more, then we should sign Casspi in the hopes that he can make it back in time for the playoffs. If you're going all in on 3s, Casspi should take Dekker's minutes.
