Hey everyone, I know I don’t post very often, but I know there are a lot of animal lovers on this site and wanted to reach out to you all for help. Clutch and mods, if this post is against the rules, I apologize. My wife and I volunteer at BARC (City of Houston Animal Shelter) and we are currently fostering a dog who is in need of surgery to repair a torn ACL in his knee. We are reaching out to the community in hopes of raising funds for his surgery and finding him a permanent family. We plan on fostering him through his recovery of 2-3 months and afterwards he should be ready for his forever home. Claus is approximately 2 years old, house broken, playful, great with other dogs, and has a good temperament. He would make a great companion for any family. Always pains me to see an animal in such a bad condition, so thanks to you and your wife for taking his side. Wish I could send over a few bucks, but the only payment method from Europe looked a bit dubious. Too bad you can't use PayPal. I hope you get enough donations and find a home for Claus.
Raz, thank you for the well wishes. It's always hard to volunteer at an animal shelter knowing that a lot of the animals your helping will not make it out or be adopted. Although he was in bad shape, Claus was still in good spirits so we decided to help him. We are roughly half way to our goal but his leg seems to be getting worse so regardless, we have scheduled his surgery for next week. Hopefully we can get as close to our goal as possible within the next week.
You're welcome. Have you thought about making a post on 9Gag? Dogs pretty much get worshipped over there like cows in India and I've seen people in your situation, trying to find a home for a dog. May go viral, may go unnoticed, some jerks might throw dirt (but since you're on Clutchfans, nothing you haven't seen) -- I think it's definitely worth a try. And too bad the Rockets dog march has been postponed. This would've been a chance to get in touch with dog lovers from the Houston area.

Just saw the surgery is scheduled for Tuesday, so I wish him well and hope everything works out. Haven't found Claus on 9Gag yet, so if you want to give it a try, let me know and I'll upvote and help you in the comments. Maybe Yung-T or someone else can help you on Reddit.
