Deron Williams and Bogut to sign with Cavs. Its basically a free ride to finals. All these vets don't want to grind it in the west, save energy just playing in the East for the Cavs. State of the NBA right now.
This team needs a grinder under the basket, a tough as nails center. Capella gets pushed around too much (still needs to get stronger). Bogut would seem to fit perfectly. I get a lot of people don't like him. Talks about having your standards for player personnel seem silly to me (I'd get it if he were a criminal). But I am willing to lose you as fellow Rocket fans if Bogut gets signed to the Rockets. I know once Bogut went down in the playoffs, so did the GS warriors last year.
Again Boguts not that good anymore and two he freakin hates Houston, your line of thinking is starting to sound borderline insane and redundantly so on this board. Yes we need to get tougher inside but it wont be Bogut and even if we got Bogut he is not the guy who gets us past the Warriors.
Players can put the past behind them for the sake winning. Look at Chris Paul and J.J. Redick, for example. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/nba--c...vbG8DZ3ExBHBvcwMxBHZ0aWQDQjM0NDhfMQRzZWMDc3I-
Probably true. But I don't think there's much weight to the argument that Bogut would never come here just because he hates Houston.
Sure there is. He hates Houston and he has options (Cavs = free ride to finals). Why would he ever come to Houston when he can just ride LBJ's coattails in a much easier East?
In history u will be known for winning a ring, no one will remember u for going the harder route to the ring just to fail.
I am not saying it is the biggest reason, but it certainly factors in. If you don't like a city or player or team and you have options, why would a player go there? Some people are acting like Houston is his only good option and that we trump his dislike for us.
There's 3.5 million reasons why he would choose Houston. Not saying he will, but the money has to be a consideration.
Good? No. Heck, even Bogut wasn't "good." There still are some serviceable options; Sanders, Sully, our underhand FT shooting big in RGV, T-Jones, and maybe Casspi as a stretch 4 once he heals up.
It's a consideration. So is title opportunity and so is going somewhere he'd actually want to go. At this point in his career, I don't think the dollar difference will be his deciding factor.
This board giving Bogut the DMO treatment. Reality check both these players suck and they hate Houston, LMAO.
