he is really the only option.

Mo already said he would be coming off the bench for now, and Padgett hasnt been with us long enough to be starting...the only other guy would be Braggs...and he aint starting period as long as Cato is healthy and is playing as well as he has been.

I think JVG really likes Cato. He called him his "Charles Oakley".

Cato played extremely well in the preseason. Along with Eddies problems, MoT's injury, Cato is the only option.

He's also shown the ability/willingness to toss it down into Yao, as well as finding the open man for the assist, as well as his banging and clearing of the boards. Go Cato!

Cato has been impressive. To tell you the truth, I don't think Cato at the 4 last year would have worked. But Yao's improvement and Cato's play has impressed me.

And Cato's still learning the position. If Duncan, KG or even Webber are killing you from 18' they may not beat you if they're having trouble inside - Webber's the poster-boy for that.

And besides, teams are not going to double/triple Yao with a 4, everyone's going to dare us to hit the outside shot. JJ, Pike, AG and or Boki have to be effective and then it's possible Cato will have games at the 4 I would not have believed possible.

Cato's going to get a lot of open 12' shots, and his long-term possibilities are going to rest there at the 4 or 5.

And Yao's also shown the ability to hit him for an easy layup if his man comes off to double on Yao.
