this sounds like a total morey move... especially with the idea that the gm believed he could get more than the suns... was probably going through the nba teams and called phoenix instead of philadelphia

 

I am actually wondering if it was the Timberwolves. McHale had just left and KAAAHN had just come in. I remember people talking about Amare for Al Jefferson and the TWOLVES first rounder (Ricky Rubio) .

And this is how Alex Kennedy (writer of OP article) does exactly what he writes about in his article that he quotes GMs as saying they don't like. This is meaningless news about something that may or may not happen, from a sauce who is guessing. But it gets you to follow Kennedy on this busy day...it's the best news he has.



Kid is known to make stuff up, too. But even if true a GM gave him a guess, it's noise like the article says.
