Jimmer was before Vivek lol. Going from Maloof bros' mismanagement of the organization to Vivek's even worse management.

Tough times to be a kings fan.

What is worse for them is that it is the owner...if it's a GM or anyone under the owner then they could be fired and start anew...but an owner? You just have to swallow it and deal with it. Maybe the guy will learn to leave the basketball decisions to someone else.

Tyreke Evans, Demarcus cousins, Biyombo, Thomas Robinson, Mclemore, Stauskis, WCS and Chriss. All but mclemore and wcs are gone or traded during drafted day. Two owners during that span. 7 top draft picks. That's one horrible organization.

This is why I give Cousins a pass, its hard to excel when you have a joke of a franchise supporting you. I think he's gonna play really well next to AD. Really good move by the Pells.

Pelicans are stupid. They are going to lose Holiday at the end of the season. They should have traded him plus filler to Denver with a pick for one of W. Chandler or Gallo. Then they could build from there. Plenty of veteran point guards to bring in that are out of the league, recovering from injury, overseas, or being bought out. Then in the offseason they could shoot for their SG and bench upgrades. I bet they were scared to let Holiday go thinking they can resign him this offseason, but they should have gone for a longer term SF like Chandler or Gallo to build from.

That's how i feel too...i wasn't sold on this move before, and i'm even less sold after watching this game... i think both Cousins and Davis have not the maturity and understanding of the game to make it work...Holiday is probably going to bolt if he's never touching the ball and/or if the lockeroom is going to be a mess...unless they're going to max him maybe (which would be a mistake)...and look for Boogie to be out too because Davis is going to ask for his head next year...i wouldn't be shocked if this is what will happen.

I feel bad for AD and Boogie. NO is not much better than Sacramento. You have to be smart to play with quality back-to-the basket Big men. Big men are dependent on guards to be successful. Is NO capable of finding smart, unselfish players to make AD and Boogie flourish? I don't think so.

I think Rubio just found his new home.
    Dude can't shoot for crap
Pick and roll him and the new duo

Maybe they should have went after Rubio since they don't need a guard to score, but just distribute and play defense. But they were stupid not to trade Holiday. They are looking at Jarrett Jack, but they could look at Chalmers, D. Williams, Fredette, Cole, Thornton, etc. They should consider bringing in Barnes too. Either way, they missed out on trading Holiday for a major long term player to team up with Boogie and AD, and that may really hurt them long term.

They do need guards that can score. Getting someone like Rubio makes them worse. The effect of perimeter play is greater than bigs these days. They need a guard capable of both being a scorer and passer so basically an elite one. There aren't bigs dominant enough to change that on a nightly basis. And yes that includes cousins and ad together because of the way they both play the game

They could have traded Holiday for Wilson Chandler or Gallo..that would have given them 3 solid starters. Then they could have traded a 2nd and got N. Young, or just sign any of the other guards I mentioned earlier (Chalmers, J.Jack, Thornton, D.Williams, Fredetter, Cole). Doing all of that would have given them something more solid to build from and go from there.

Keeping Holiday was the worst move they could make, imho.

People really hate Rubio here, but I'm one of those people who thinks he is a smart play maker. He can't shoot, but he gets it. He knows how to get people the ball where they need it. It's amazing how elite NBA players have no Idea how to pass in the post, how to identify positioning, or when/how to throw a player open. PnR passes and lobs are far more difficult than simple Post entry passes IMO

I really thought Rubio could have been a good guard for Dwight when he was her in Houston. Dwight is all positioning and no post moves. Rubio could have tricked Dwight into thinking he was actually good on the block by just throwing him the ball when he was open due to his positioning.

They could have but they would still have similar issues but now without good pg play. They didn't get cousins to win right now. They know they have to improve significantly on the wing. Obviously that won't happen til later. It's more about seeing how those two play together for the rest of the year

the days of non shooting capable pg's like rondo/rubio being relevant have been long gone. mcw is quickly moving in that direction. your pg's need to a be real threat consistently if you are going to make a positive impact on a nightly and consistent basis. These guys will be non factors in the playoffs especially assuming rubio is around to see the postseason one day or even still playing. There's no such thing as hiding that weakness on the perimeter in today's league. It will be exposed one way or the other.
