True true, you think Wilson Chandler out of reach now?

Late firsts are rarely worth anything, not worried at all about the pick

Lou Williams can draw fouls, but now that he is a Rocket, will he get those calls?

Many people here already declared that they will give up their first born to send Brewer away.

What is the time line on his flying the Rocket flag? Can he possibly play against the Pels? or is Saturday vs Timberwolves.
Morey the Skinner carves off a little piece of Magic.

Thank Durga that the Lakers are tanking! I'm wondering if the Lakers are going to try and package our first to make a move for Paul George??

Our first round pick is not that valuable. End of first round means unlikely to get an impact player, particularly one that can contribute year one. On top of that it costs over $1.5 million on the cap to have that pick. Between the difference in Brewer and Lou's contract and the loss of the pick, Morey added an extra $2 million to the available funds in free agency before ever trading away pieces this offseason.

On top of that, should we get a commitment from a player in free agency, we could easily deal Lou Williams for a pick, likely a first.

On top of that, if we go into trade discussions with a team at some point for a star, a package of Lou, KJ, Dekker and picks is a lot more attractive than one where Brewer is the salary filler. For the cost of a first round pick we turned a negative on court factor into a positive one AND a negative salary/trade piece into a positive one.

I'd be surprised if he's not ready by Thursday.

Man I was going to be happy with a brewer for basic 3rd string big man trade but we get the best scorer off the bench instead? :O

Idk but Jamal Crawford has been relevant well into his 30s... Idk much about Williams but sounds like oir brethren are ecstatic with this trade. So I'll trust ClutchFans members and be excited without knowing much about Lou.

Another upside to this trade is that the Clipper, Spurs, Cavaliers or Warriors won't get him. I welcome the scoring and ball handling but I'm gonna miss how Brewer came out every night like his pants were on fire.

The Lakers get a trade chip, a veteran and a great locker room guy. We get Lou Williams, a prototype for D'Antoni's Houston Rockets.

Our starting C is a late first rounder, not saying he is great, but still our starting C.

Lou shoots 55% from the right corner three and 51% from the left.

Lol what kind of move do you expect though realistically speaking?

    1. Rox have a good thing going on. Trading a core guy like Capela or Anderson might result in chemistry getting wrecked.
    2. No one move can push the Rox over the top, even if can do Harden trade 2.0 and get another superstar it would emptying the cupboard of assets.
    3. Biggest hole right now is backup scorer to help unload Harden and Gordon. I havent seen Lou Williams play but considering he's a 6th man candidate DM just turned trash into treasure for a low pick.

This is the kind of move I wanted the Rox to make, removes Brewer and all possibility of Ennis playing. When Harden sits we have a backcourt of Williams and Gordon, and when Bev comes back Gordon can be backup SF. Its pretty crazy it just took 1 first rounder to get a good player and get rid of Brewer. Also this is either asign of a bigger move or KJ is finally out of the dog house. Eitherway both would be goos for the Rox.

Probably since we got rid of that 1st rounder. But hey with Morey he'll find a way to rip off another team to add a missing piece :D I'm hoping for lopez
