Enough with the Wilson Chandler trades. We're not one piece away from contention. Giving up real assets for a non-star is silly.
We need another star next to harden. Cousins is an allstar with superstar talent. He's nothing like Dwight. Cousins can actually play and is a great offensive player. Yes Dwight is better on d. Harden cousins on the same team would by dynamic, a skilled big can play and thrive next to harden look how good nene and Capela look, now imagine that being cousins? Dwight was not skilled and not willing to listen to anyone. It's hard for me to learn anything about Dwights time here. He's had the same problem on every team he's been on. When he leaves the team he left behind is glad he's gone. Saying cousins can't play with harden because of Dwight is not true.
He adds that guard depth that we have heard the chirps about. I also read that Tyreke Evans is going to be bought out. I think we could get Evans. His 3pt % is disgusting. 30% is not sexy, but his per36 shows hes putting up 19/7/7. He can play PG, SG and SF. I'm not a fan of his size but he's versatile. He's been with EGo and Ryno for the last 4 years so I would be he wants to join them. Plus @Codman mentioned free birds. It doesn't mean Cod knew Boogie was going to NO months ago when he said that, but it definitely could indicate a bird (Pelican) who wanted out found a way out and is coming to Houston. Now I personally hope this shuts the door on Okafor to New Orleans and Philly gets stuck with Okafor, whom I believe Cod likes more than Noel. Well I personally like Noel more than Okafor, so I hope Houston jumps on Noel if they can. Somehow get me some Gallinari and I will be extremely happy. Leave us with a top 9 (Very deep!) of Harden/Evans Beverley/Gordon Ariza/Gallinari Anderson/Gallinari Noel/Capela
@kwakmeister yep, they can both be good pick ups for us, let's see though, i expect a lot of teams going after Galloway, Evans maybe not so much, but we'll see.
so we acquire Noel and Gallanari but we don't give up any of our guys? or did you think Denver is going to give up Gallanri for Brewer and Noel for tyler ennis? why stop there, lets grab paul george for KJ.
Not saying Denver and Phily will do this, but he gave up: Montrezz, Dekker, Nene, KJ - Packaged with some picks I can see some deal happening... Not that great of a deal, as the previous poster stated, but still...
Paul George and salary fillers for the bum Anderson and KJ and 2 first picks and some of our euro stash... move Ariza to the bench. Pipe dreaming, but let's the pacers stay afloat, and gives the rockets their second star. Pipe dreamingggggg
Denver wanted 2 1sts for Gallo in the past offseason, since then his value has dropped. So 1 1st+Dekker or Harrell+Salary match filler, possibly a 2nd. Philly might want to keep Noel at this point, so it's a tougher sale, but future 1st+Harrell+Salary match+2nd. (we have 3) Is unlikely but it's not unreasonable.
I might could get behind a trade for Nerlens Noel at this point, but I have no idea what the sixers would want. I don't think any of our real assets would be on the table (Dekker, Capela, 2017 1st). If they would do KJ + rights to Llull (who could play with his pal Sergio Rodriguez) + 2nd....but then you need to unload Capela in a separate deal.
Guys, it's simple.. Boogie went to the Pelicans because they knew they were trading Davis to Houston. Basically Houston this year is just Harden on the Pelicans. Unfortunately, the trade is going to cost us Brewer, KJ, and a conditional 3rd.
Morey is too smart to get shafted like that, I bet he knows what they're trying to do so instead he keeps Brewer KD and the conditional 3rd
If no one caves on PHX's asking price of a 1st in exchange for two months of 31-year-old Tucker, the DEN & POR 2nds attached to Brewer may get it done.
