His "i love sacramento, i will stay here, i want my jersey to be retired here" whenever asked if he will stay in sac while he looks like the unhappiest person in the world made them do this. I knew they're going to trade him. They just tried to up his trade value
last 10 games hes putting 22 points, 6 rebounds, 8 assists on 55% shooting, 0.5 blocks and 2 steals per game shooting four 3s a game at 39% clip on the season we still have 3 games to play vs them? it will be very exciting to watch
Most compelling aspect of the trade to me is were the Kings losing because of Cousins. Lets see if the Pels getting Cousins takes them to the next level. Not a lot of games left so they're going to have to find that chemistry pretty quickly.
That's why I said flashes and not a young Harden. He's still a top pick though and having him sounds more appealing than Dekker. The Rockets don't have any assets because they stopped the "kick the can" approach ever since Dwight signed. All they have is their own low 1st round pick and couple of 2nd round picks, that's trash compared to what crappy teams have. TBH, the posters on this forum don't know what the hell they want. First they complain that the team doesn't have any consistency and the turnover is too high, but now they complain Morey isn't doing anything. They say the team is full of stinkers but now they're surprised Rox can't beat offers that have a top 10 pick and a future lottery pick.
This dude is a loose cannon who can not control his temper. It's a huge gamble to bring this guy on any team. The pelicans knew this and that's why the kings did not get as much as they could have if Boogie was a normal human being.
Yup true, thats why everyone says they are the worst franchise right now. They somehow manage to fk up every lottery pick(except cousins) and make horrible trades.
whoever their director of scouting/talent needs to get fired too. clueless judges of talent. they thought really highly of buddy hield... they clearly didn't learn from the stauskas/mclemore/jimmer picks. would love to see what other deals they received. christ, i just looked at the 2016 draft. there's no way they believe hield is that good can they? saving face maybe? these idiot kings traded the #8 pick to the suns for 13 (papagiannis) and 28 (skal labissiere), both most likely to contribute nothing on their way to becoming fringe nba players. hield was the #6 pick. they could've gave up less to move up in the draft to get hield last year, but now gave up cousins to move up a potential 2 spots + a late lottery pick (pelicans pick will probably be somewhere from 10-14) most likely. kings' front office is a bunch of bums. how much do they pay? are they accepting applications? i'm sure i can do a better job.
I personally think it's a really good deal for the Kings. I don't understand the hate at all... They free up 200+ mil over 5 years They get a top 10 pick, rookie with upside, who a lot of teams loved They get a 1st round in a loaded draft. They get a high 2nd round in a loaded draft They secure their own 1st round (which was very much in jeopardy of going to the bulls) And they get Tyreke Evans back, who was a 20/5/5 guy when he was with the Kings. 3 1's, a high 2, and an established vet, who's still really good (despite the injuries)..... For a head case with a mound of talent. I like the deal for the kings, y'all need to check yourselves.
i watched a lot of him in college and caught him a couple of times in person. maybe like 15-20 pelicans games thus far. he's a 23 yr old rookie more likely to become a role player than a star. but let's say he becomes a star down the line... the kings still traded for pennies on the dollar. economically, it wasn't a smart move, especially when they could've gave up less to move up for him last year. there are some good parts of the deal, but to think that hield was the best thing they could've gotten, i would have to see what the other offers were, which is why i'm thinking they said that to maybe save face.
And what the hell are they doing with their 200million over the next 5 years? No free agent will be like: hell yes i want to play for the worst franchise in the league, gimme that contract I'll sign it. History has shown that kings suck at drafting young players aswell. They just built their own grave, i see them slipping to the dead last spot in the nba next season. They have nothing left considering that rudy gay will opt out in the end of the season as well. Who is going to score 15 points a game for them? Hield?
Well, they can throw 200 mill at whoever they want. Guys are getting PAID, and thus, changing teams now quite often. Ok, so they get a top 3 pick, maybe the number 1. That seems to me like a great way to reboot. What's your idea? You don't like what philly is looking like? Ok, maybe Heild only scores 15. He's getting the green light now, he could burst out with some 20's and 30's, tossing up 20 and 30 shots a game, and the media will love it. Either way, they hit the reboot button, I applaud them.
