That certainly was a lot more than a rogue employee.

CEO's are on notice, that if they allow a cowboy culture they will pay the piper. What is so difficult for some of you guys and gals to understand?

Last thing MLB wants is for this to cause them problems with the Feds. Hacking is a serious serious crime! Cardinals were made an example for teams to have better controls about this type of behavior.

Ken Lay was not going to go to jail due to actions of a rogue employee. He was going to jail because of his own involvement and a company-wide fraud scheme - the exact opposite of what was found in this investigation.

What's difficult to understand is why you would make up the idea that CEOs would go to jail for the actions of a rogue employee. Or why you'd use Ken Lay as an example, when it's the exact opposite of what you're trying to argue.

But beyond that, can you point us to where the investigation showed that the Cardinals created a cowboy culture? Or do you believe any single rogue employee is proof of a bad company culture?

Seems all parties involved were happy to sweep this thing under the rug. Astros got compensation, Cardinals got a slap on the hand, and the MLB keeps the Federal investigators off their back. Only guy who faced real punishment was Correa, he took the brunt of the fallout.

Kenneth Lay was going to jail because he was convicted of securities fraud, not because his employees were convicted.

Before y'all start talking about the Enron debacle, go watch the documentary. Very interesting! It was like the Mafia/Gordon Geiko type of stuff.

So, because a rogue employee hacked the Astros, a 22 year old pitcher needs TJ surgery? Guess I am not an average person.

I get that now so I'm moving on Buck. Didn't mean to derail the thread and piss people off.

If you think this is people being 'pissed off' stay out of the D&D forum.
