Natl Security Advisor Flynn may have violated law speaking w/ Russians

See Congress during Obama's neg with Iran. That was more than undermining. Flynn could be acting out in what he believe was in the best interest of the US.

The acting attorney general informed the Trump White House late last month that she believed Michael Flynn had misled senior administration officials about the nature of his communications with the Russian ambassador to the United States, and

warned that the national security adviser was potentially vulnerable to Russian blackmail (because the main topic of the conversation between Flynn and the Russian Ambassador was on sanctions)

Yates, who has since been fired by Trump and a senior career national security official to the White House counsel, was prompted by concerns that Flynn, when asked about his calls and texts with the Russian diplomat, had told Vice President-elect Mike Pence and others that he had not discussed the Obama administration sanctions on Russia for its interference in the 2016 election, the officials said.

It is unclear what the White House counsel, Donald McGahn, did with the information; he has had the info (that Flynn had lied) for ~~ 3 weeks

Could it be that the then-President-elect had

1. instructed Flynn to talk about sanctions w the Russian ambassador and
2. not to disclose it to the VP, the Chief of Staff and the WH spokesman

Then why are you attempting to make excuses for the guy? Trump should fire Flynn, like yesterday, and Flynn should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Personally, I could care less how often the Logan Act has been used. My guess is that Flynn knew about the Logan Act and figured that he wouldn't get caught violating it. That's pretty incredible when you consider that the chump is Trump's National Security Adviser. Good lord. Don't you think that the person holding that position should have at least a modicum of integrity?

 

Flynn is a turd, and has been a turd for a long time.

I expect Flynn will be sacked and this, like Manafort before, will be soon forgotten. Although, reality has been stranger than fiction.

Intel agencies are doing their duty to the constitution by leaking so journalists can report. More will likely be coming.

You and I agree on something. Flynn should never have been considered for the job after his (and his son's) tweeting of OBVIOUS FAKE NEW stories involving Hillary Clinton (i.e. Pizzagate).
