Apparently the only credential you need to have access to a top secret meeting between two heads of states regarding the balastic missile situation in North Korea is access to 200 grand a year and a membership to Mar-a-Lago...

Amazing. This is absolutely amazing. Does anyone have the cognitive abilities to play devil's advocate here and defend Trump? I really want to see how that plays out.

This man is quite easily the most incompetent human to hold the title of 'President of the United States'.

Btw, this man became a member 2 ****ing months ago. This has to be out of a movie. I can see all these world class spies with exuberant bank accounts funded by their government gaining access to Mar-a-Lago. Jesus ****ing Christ. Apparently Camp David is too rustic.

i say that both Jimmy Carter and GWB would give him a good run for the money.

My grandfather's generation would probably include Warren G. Harding and Herbert Hoover

There is incompetence within a normal spectrum and then there is Trump incompetence. Let's not make false equivalencies here. I couldn't see Carter or Bush go to this level of incompetency.

Camp David exists for a reason.

Wow. It's fine that Trump consults w/ world leaders at a more casual retreat. It's important that he's more comfortable when negotiating, because he seems like he hates the white house. I'd hate for the U.S. to be taken advantage of because he's angry about some dumb thing he saw on TV or whatever. That said, the disregard this administration has shown for convention is astounding. There are reasons presidents have done things a certain way in the past. As an American, national security is one area where I'm not willing to hedge my bets.

I hope the Secret Service has done some "extreme" vetting of all these sycophantic Mar-a-lago members. They shouldn't be allowed to carry around smart phones when matters of national/world security are being discussed.

Only Donald can fix it. Sigh.

    give me a break!

    Carter
    • his ineptness drove the economy into stagflation, rising cost w no GDP growth
    • his failed energy policies forced Americans to fill up gas based soley on their license plate #
      • eg, only odd #'s can fill up today, even #'s tommorow
    • his aborted attempt in rescuing the Iran hostages, (did u see the movie, Argo?)
    • his open invitation to Cuba's Castro to send their criminals here
    • at a WH state dinner, sitting PLO symphathizers and Israelis at the same table

    GWB
    • in ignoring warnings from career anti-terrorism analyst Richard Clarke, W allowed 9/11 to happen,
    • invaded Iraq under the false claim of WMD
    • bankrupt the US economy, leading to a depression in 08/09

Just a couple of things about your bullet points. Carter's failed energy policy didn't drive gas rationing. It was an actual oil shortage like we haven't had since. There was a legitimate shortage of oil, and conserving energy is all the rage these days. He was actually ahead of his time.

Sitting two opposing groups at the same table is how he managed to help broker a peace agreement to life-long enemies of Egypt and Israel. That was an accomplishment in foreign policy that we haven't seen the likes of since then.

You didn't read the article. You are making subjective claims about policy you disagree with. Trump is an entirely different ball game. He can't even get the most basic OpSec procedures right such as holding briefings with other heads of states regarding sensitive information such as a North Korean ballistic missile program update in a not open environment where any swinging dick can take facebook photos. That's why we have freaking Camp David.

No, they're not going to justify it b/c they're gutless partisan cowards. Party over country? More like party over intelligence and basic decency.

If you can afford a $200k initiation fee to Trump, you absolutely should have access to the President, mingle with him, take picture with the football holder and be trusted by the American people. This is Trump America.

Oh, and Trump is still using his unsecured Android phone.
Oh, and the Trump WH is using the RNC server for government email.

But really, what's sad is not the Trump base. It's the avg American that became brainwashed over Clinton's emails.

Hate is a pretty strong word.

"Total lack of respect" is more appropriate.

It is pointless to respond to such intolerance. Good luck in 2024.

Is there a certain threshold where you wouldn't tolerate a supporter of a leader? Would you 'respect' as Buck Turgidson suggested a Hitler supporter? We don't respect most Trump supporters... especially if you still are a supporter. I can understand being dupped and then realizing you've made a mistake like many Trump voters have already admitted to. But if you still support this incompetent narcissist propped up by a ****ing Briebart editor then yes I have lost respect for you.

Man, there is more to life than politics. I have great friends that share my thoughts and great friends that don't. 25 days and you are ready to impeach and condemn anyone who thinks that is premature.

While it has divided into the diversion of nit picking
    BACK ON TOPIC

How is this not a major issue for some of you?
The examples given have nothing to do with open air conversations about nuclear tests.

Trump is outside the acceptable variance of crazy. I didn't give a **** if you were a McCain guy. I didn't give a **** if you were a Romney guy. I didn't give a **** if you were a Bush guy. Trump is different. At this point I really have no ****ing clue what rationale one would have in supporting Trump other than the 'let's make libtards suffer' troll angle.

Yeah, I think it's a case where the hype has replaced actual fact.

The first two years of the Carter Presidency were a time of continuing recovery from the severe 1973–75 recession; the GDP grow for these 2 yrs ~ 5% per annum. The second two years were marked by

    double-digit inflation, coupled with very high interest rates, oil shortages, and slow economic growth;
if i remember my US history, Reagan coined this the "misery index", and campaigned on it.
some 37 years after he was fired, no other POTUS has followed his ration plan. But, an "environmental" President, Obama, has effected policies that have increased oil production in the US to where it has become a net exporter of oil.
