When you have a guy that is literally named after some sort of penis instrument making fun of your size then you know you have a problem
What you are trying to say is Harden is not a perfect human being and should be. I can point out a lot of faults in Harden too but to say he is a reason we we won't go anywhere is pushing it. I don't know of another single player I would rather have to start a team other than LeBaron James but even so James Harden is 5 years younger. As far as "relying on creating fouls". I think this is one of the most desirable assets Harden has. Yes it may be boring to watch at times but it is dependable and will increase the longevity of his game as he ages. I believe players like Westbrook who rely on insane athleticism will start to drop off as they get in their 30's. Harden should be able to stand the test of time. Also the thing about Harden is a lot of times when they aren't calling a foul he has a plan B. If you watch him on a shooting foul and doesn't get call he is quick enough to realize they didn't call it in mid air and often dumps the ball off before his feet land. When he is driving he often is good enough to finish through contact too. Yes Harden has his faults but he isn't the reason why Rockets aren't a championship team.
I was the poster who added a gratuitous thread just before the season started, about the Rockets opting for mediocrity when they hired MDA. I lamented that our defense would still be just as bad, and that the Rockets would likely not meet preseason expectations and end up with ~48wins with a limited ceiling and little to work with in terms of championship-quality pieces. Well if you wanna still call 58 wins and a second round exit, mediocrity just because it ain't the championship, you can. Compared to preseason expectations, I will be ECSTATIC if we have 58wins. Sure a second round loss would be bittersweet but unsurprising given San Antonio's regular season record compared to ours. But, never under any scenario should 56-60 wins be considered something you have to blow up. We have hope now. Celebrate the performance and stop setting a championship as the bar every year. Because you'll be disappointed 99% of the time.
Joomba has no love for the Rockets. His posts are 100% about bashing Harden because of turnovers. Repeating your contrarian point ad nauseam doesn't make you opinionated, it makes you a troll. No one here is under the delusion that we're going to win a championship. Hell, the Spurs are one of the most disciplined teams on both ends of the ball and lost in the second round last year despite winning 67 games. They're 41-12 right now and probably aren't going to win the title. We're an underdog, but we can appreciate this team's performance and effort, both of which were lacking last year. Harden's turnovers are bad, but whose game is pretty that you think could run D'antoni's system better? The best fits with pretty games would be CP3 and Steve Nash. Nash already ran the system and got as far as the WCF, which Harden has already taken us to. CP3 is one of the best floor generals I've ever seen, but he's never gotten past the second round. Both of those guys have played with multiple all-stars by the way, which Harden hasn't had in Houston. Kobe, with several warts in his game, won five championships. Pretty doesn't guarantee championships, it can't even guarantee success.
What's your proof? Just because I have an opinion Trump lover. By the way, it's you're or you are dumb idiot.
I put Joomba on ignore early in the season. It's good to know my troll radar was on point that day. It looks like Purvis2Short will be joining him.
