I know this is going to sound like I'm Satan for suggesting this, but I read a quote from Karl Malone tonight that I think is the most appropriate slogan for the Rockets this year: "It's not what's on the back of the jerseys," Malone said. "It's what's on the front." As much as I despise Malone, you gotta admit that's a kick-a** slogan. Be Part of Something Big just doesn't do it anymore. I can feel the responses with pictures of deadbolts coming.
Dallas has something like "this is the Big Time" or something... but maybe that's the Cowpokes. Too close though... I like "We Have Lift-off!" or "We Can Jump Really High!" or "Our Uniforms Symbolize Vertical Motion!"
"The great players want the ball in the closing minutes, I suppose that's why Jordan took it from me." Karl Malone. "I left everything on the court, including my blood, sweat, jock strap, and Championship trophy." Karl Malone.
"If you are going to take it to the bank, then you better cash it in." Kevin Garnett "Basketball doesn't build character, it reveals it." Roy Tarpley "Practice makes perfect, but it's just practice." Allan Iverson
"One man alone can be pretty dumb sometimes, but for real bona fide stupidity, there ain't nothin' can beat teamwork." The Clippers. "Blending a team is like mixing a drink. You have to find just the right mix of youthful spirits and aged whiskey." Chris Mullin. "Winning isn't everything, but it beats anything that comes in second." Larry Bird "Luck is what you have left over after you give 100 percent." Ralph Sampson.
CONTEST OVER. Please close the thread now. We have a winner. Is it too late to get tickets for tonight? Preferably up front under the basket...
