KJ and 2017 2nd for Tim Frazier. Frazier was playing great before Tyreke Evans came back. He can shoot, pass and would thrive under MDA. Crossing my fingers Morey gets this done.
Oh look a video exposing the thing he is horrible at. The thing everyone already knows is the weakest part of his game. Because bad free throw shooting defines how good a player is. Shaq was mediocre also because he sucked at free throws. I was at least expecting a better video argument, like his lack of post up efficiency. Or maybe a video pointing out bad defensive rotations montage. But a video of constant missed free throws, in which It was our strategy to hack, and iirc they still won? Still nothing on boban, how could there be this year with his limited playing time, and absolutely no one even dumb enough to compare the two players. Dumb argument is dumb. Bad video is bad. Horrible poster is horrible.
What are you talking about?? I don't think you can prove otherwise either! I think you meant athletic because Boban IS A MORE SKILLED PLAYER...
Actually his post up game is even worse. If you watched him play you'd know that. Read the article. Not to mention his defense is horrible. Pistons are around ten points worse per 100 possessions when he is in there compared to when he is sitting and Baynes/Boban are in. He's terrible.
I honestly don't want the Rockets to do much at the trade deadline except for moving Corey Brewer to try and free up his salary for free agency this Summer. I don't think he's going to have an impact in the playoffs, and I do think that KJ, with given his 10 min of PT, will fill in nicely... probably improving the 3 point shooting, and defense. You also got KJ next year on a cheap salary so I'd hate to see another team snag him up at the deadline, and reap the benefits the Rockets could have had when they get stuck with another season of Corey Brewer. If the Rockets move Brewer they have the ability to simply add a 16 to 18 mil per year player to this roster which could be even better next year with improvement of young players & another year for guy like Ryan Anderson to get used to playing alongside Harden. If there is a cheap one-year player they can pick up in the process great, but I'd like to keep KJ because at 3 mil per for a player only being asked to give you 10 minutes per gameish I think he's good value.
The debate is not to determine if Drummond is overrated or not. Holic claimed Boban is a better basketball player than Drummond; that Boban is Brook Lopez + Rebounding/Defense.
If you put him on another teams, he won't be playing the way he is playing with the Warriors. He fits in so well with the Warriors because of the system. He fits in well for that.
Yes his post up indeed sucks. I know this and have witnessed it. It is an outdated innefficient style of basketball that avg continues to rely on a heavy frequency. The defense is worst per 100 because the the starting 5 gives up and allows more 3s to be taken and subsequently made. To me that tells me he keeps players from entering the arc and rely heavier on jump shooting. That's his job defensively in essence and is the Dwight effect in a sense. What I don't like is he doesn't change the %s of those shots that much, only reduces 1% which is allowing 60%. His blocks per game are you much, but in this NBA landscape even the greats aren't that high, but has a decent blk% But if I am to agree with you in any aspect, it is that drummond is over rated. He needs to be running PnR where he is much better offensively, although not great but miles better than posting up. Boban has very favorable advanced #s but you have to understand context. He is playing scrub minutes against other teams scrubs. For instance last night both players looked great. Looking at it statistically, it would appear boban was much more efficient and with a higher reb%. But boban is playing against the Lakers scrubs while drummond plays the starters. Context. Having said that, my point remains the same. Not a single person picks boban over drummond besides you. Boban could be a valuable bench player on some teams. The problem is he is tall lanky and slow. In today's modern NBA offense of pace and space he doesn't fit. He doesn't have the footspeed or athletic ability to switch in the modern day NBA defense. He is a generation late stylistically. I don't hate boban, I don't love drummond and think he is a bit overrated. But your completely off based and unintelligent for advocating boban over drummond. BTW this is how you support an arguement or debate,. You know, with data, analysis and reason. Not, "you gotta read between the lines!" there is nothing between the lines to support your claim other than what your trying to pretend is there.
There is plenty of people that would pick boban over Drummond. boban is the better basketball player. Watch the games. The reason why the starters give up so many threes is because they are cheating to help........Drummond in the paint, where he is awful. Boban far and away better defensively than Drummond and always will be. Take a gander at their rim protection numbers to verify what you see when you watch the games.
I have looked at them, and I stated them in my post. The modern defense is to restrict 3pa firstly and secondly to reduce the % of 3pa's. They aren't cheating to help him in the post, where he isn't some world stopper. Having drummond in has resulted in more 3pa's because there is less trips to the paint. That's his job. By consequence it has resulted in a higher frequency of shots from 3. Randomly they shooter a higher 3% when he is on the court Vs off. But that's not a reflection of his defense, because he doesn't guard the perimeter.
Well I guess players who are MVP level in the d league are far superior than all bench players in the nba. That dog don't hunt
Don't know where that came from but it has nothing to do with Drummond vs. Boban. Just the fact that you're so desperate to defend Drummond that you go with the starters scrubs argument tells me all I need to know. Look, Drummond is a bust. Some already know it. But it's on the cusp of becoming common knowledge in NBA circles. And you're attempting to defend him with very shallow arguments (because you have no other argument for him) simply because I jolted you with Boban being better than him and I gave you proof of how bad Drummond is. https://www.google.com/amp/pistonpowered.com/2016/08/30/cbs-sports-andre-drummond/amp/
