Don't know where to post this but it needs to be said somewhere!

Man, the move to a new ticketing proccess for the Rockets must be more complicated then I can imagine. There are three people in my office who got 12-game packages. All three got mailed to the wrong address.

Here is what happend to me...The first 11 tickets got shipped to my old address. When I called to tell them they had sent them to the wrong address, we confirmed the new one and they sent the final ticket to the wrong address again.

One of the guy's tix got shipped to someone random with the same last name.. when this random guy called the rockets, they told him it must have been a gift from someone or a surprise and told him to keep the tickets. Luckily this guy looked in the phonebook and started calling people until he found out who's tickets they were.

The third guy has no clue where his tickets went. All the Rockets have told him is that they were mailed out. He doesn't have them.

So the first game is two days away and none of us have our tickets. Now this is just the three of us, but what are the odds that this happend to 3 out of 3 people in our office. It looks terrible on the Rockets part to hear us worry and complain about this process to other furture fans and ticket buyers in the office.

We purchased the tickets the first weekend the packages went on sale and Yes I have called the Rockets like 10 times since I first ordered my tickets. I have confirmed my mailing address EVERYTIME I have talked to them. I also have not gotten the free hat I was supposed to get. I am sure some guy with my same last name is sporting the free treat as we speak.

I understand that the bugs have to get worked out, but man... it's been a huge headache... it'll be all over soon and I can't wait for the first game.

Sorry for the venting but it should not be this hard to spend a lot of money on the team you love.

Call Aikin's Army or Marvin Zindler... start raising some stink. Call the Rockets, call Les, call Tim, start calling everyone you can. I would go to the Chronicle or local news, start raising some serious fuss.

    A little follow up...

I just called the Rockets again, and they told me to wait and see if they come in the mail tommarrow, and if not then to call them back AGAIN.

Nothing like waiting till the last minute to take care of things.

I would forget that any of this even happend if they would throw in a free hot dog and a beer, but I am not holding my breath nor my appetite for that to happen. When you call they act like your wasting there time and sound clearly annoyed.

I forwarded my earlier post to one of the guys in my office whose tickets got lost and he had a comment I found interesting....

"Correction, its not hard to spend the money on the team you love, they have already taken out money months ago. They just can't get us what we paid them for. "

I'd send an email to Tim. When other posters have complained in GARM about ticketing troubles, he was all over it.

As great as it his to have Tim, I think we forget that most Rocket ticket buyers don't come to this board. Imagine how many people there are out there who are in teh same boat with missing tickets, an unproffesional ticket office apparantly, and they don't have an exec like Tim hearing them out. There really needs to be some changes made there and soon.

    BEWARE VENTING!!!!

Okay, as I had mentioned earlier I spoke with "customer service" this morning and she informed me that my final ticket for the game Thursday had been mailed and to check my mail today to see if it was there. Well I checked and it wasn't.

So I called back tonight and spoke to someone else. He told me that not only had the tickets not been mailed, but NOT EVEN PRINTED! So this means that the person who told me last Wednesday that he would put them in the mail that day lied as well as the lady who told me to check my mail this morning.

When I asked who I could speak to in order to relay all of the problems that I have been having he replied, "Me." I asked for a manager he said all I could do was tell him and he would note it. He told me he would put the tickets at will-call but that I should go by there earlier in the day to avoid missing the long lines and possibly the game!?!?!?!!

THIS IS REDICULOUS. I WAS CHARGED OVER A MONTH AGO FOR THESE TICKETS. NOW I HAVE TO TAKE TIME OFF OF WORK TO PICK UP THE TICKETS AT WILL CALL. LAST YEAR I GOT THE TICKETS WEEKS EARLIER.

UNREAL. SO PISSED. WHY IS THIS SO COMPLICATED???? WRITE DOWN THE ADDRESS AND MAIL THE DAMN THINGS!!!!!!!! YOU HAD NO PROBLEMS CHARGING MY CREDIT CARD!

TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE. UNPROFESSIONAL AND LAZY. COMPUTER GLITCHES DON'T CAUSE THIS, POOR EMPLOYEES AND WORK ETHIC DO. UNACCEPTABLE.

Its horrible. I bought 3 tix to the opener the first 5 minutes they went on sale. They were mailed to me last Tuesday. Still haven't received them.I have no car. I have to drive to pick them up at will call. My girlfriend is extremely busy with college. Only way there is to go by Metro, not sure if I can make it to will call before they close on Thursday before the game. Im 18 and moved here 4 months ago. My mom just flew in Saturday to see me for the first time since I left, and we were going to go to the game. Now I'm not sure we'll make it. Ontop of that, I'm struggling financially. Its not my fault the tix got lost in the mail. Give me a damn refund on my "handling" fee. I'm very dissapointed that its this hard just to get to a f*cking basketball game.

Will call won't close until after the game has started, so you should be OK CourtCourt, even though the situation sucks.

We got our tickets Wednesday of last week. We also got them real early; I think my dad had it charged on like 9/9 or somewhere around there. My dad called early last week, after we told we should have had them by then, and he talked to someone. I think our tickets had trouble getting to our PO Box, so my dad just changed the address to his work. They still messed up though, because my dad told them to put my dad's work for the name, I think, but they put his name instead. Luckily, the guys knew who it was for and they got them to my dad.

I feel so lucky after reading what had happened to you guys. Hope it all works out somehow.

FYI -- They had the same problem with the Aeros opener -- hundreds of tickets mailed to the wrong address, and long lines at will call to get season tickets. They were having to print tickets at the game. Same stories.

Sounds like there is going to be a few bumps in the transition. Expected -- probably. But it's got to be frustrating.

If it is expected then why do they lie and say that it is in the mail instead of apologizing and admitting their errors. I should not have to call them 10 times to make sure I get the tickets I paid for. They should be calling me if there is a problem. My patience has worn thin. They should be handing out coupons for free food or toss in a t-shirt when we go to pick up our tickets for having to bend over backward to get a ticket.

(Not attacking you personally dc sports - still pretty fired up, my apologies in advance)

I thought if you order things from catelogs and from the internet, they can't legally charge your credit card or bill you until the item has been shipped.

Not true. I purchased several DVDs from Overstock.com several weeks ago, including one of which that was not set for release until yesterday.

They still charged my CC several weeks ago, even though the DVD wasn't going to be released to the public until yesterday.

No law against it. I think its just common courtesy on most companies' parts.

My "complaint" is not as bad as yours but I wanted to get the Yao Ming 6 pack last Sunday.

I called three times during the hours listed on rockets.com that they were open and all I get was a busy signal. Not even a,"hello may I put you on hold". Just a busy signal.

Not sure if I'm gonna try and get the tickets now.

Last time I checked the convenience charge and handling fee has not been reduced on lower priced but again it doesn't matter. I rather drive to Austin to see the Longhorns than to Toyota Center to see the Rockets.
