To be fair, the were implying Trump and Hitler were similar. Maybe not so dumb.

Houston area doesn't fail to represent Trump

    FORT BEND COUNTY (KTRK) --
A family in the Riverstone community in Fort Bend awoke to a flyer left at their home in the middle of the night.

The opening sentence was "Our new President, Donald J Trump is God's gift to the white nation."

It went on to say "we need to get rid of Muslims, Indians, and Jews," telling them to "get out of Texas and go back to where you came from."

The family, described as Asian by family friend Tony Wadawhan, is too frightened to report it to police, much less discuss it publicly. They don't know if they were specifically targeted, or if their house was selected at random.

"It is literally spewing in word form hate for everybody who isn't white Anglo Saxon," he said. "That's basically what this letter says."

It is the second incident this week of hate-based incidents. Several homes in Sienna Plantation, which neighbors Riverstone, had swatiskas spray painted on fences and the side of a house. That was reported to the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, which is investigating.

To be fair, most of us here probably didn't have access to the world wide web and social networking during our primary education.

I graduated high school in 1986 and we had zero problem knowing Hitler was worse than a pile of our collective ****.

Curious when Indians started being targets too. I thought it'd be the Mexicans. Even the Chinese would seem more likely targets given Dump's rhetorics.

Eh, it's a bunch of high school kids. Most of them are probably doing it for shock value, attention, and/or to troll. Some are probably there just to fit in with a group for acceptance. Few probably are racist.

Have the teachers talk to the kids, give them a stern lecture about its history and why it's offensive, and warn there will be consequences if done again.

Then have the parents smack them on the head for being an idiot.

    Hoax.

Those minorities probably put the letter up themselves.

Those other home owners probably drew swastikas on their own homes.

The two mosques burned down in the last month were probably burned down by their own members.

We don't know. So we should assume the above.

Perhaps a cop should have been called to body slam them to the ground and arrest them for disrupting school like they do for other "kids".

If those boys are doing it in a classroom, for sure. But this is a school picture on the bleachers. Nice try, though.

I understand the argument that they are just kids being stupid, but they're seniors and it was a friggen class picture.

I wouldn't advocate anything beyond a stern talking to and a trip to the holocaust museum, but sheesh.

Normally I would fully agree. Kids are kids. But I think this crosses the line - aware or not is not an excuse given how dangerous and unacceptable this symbol is to society. I'm all for expression of any almost any kinds, but there is some level of respect and purity that can't be allowed to cross and this is one of them. IMO, they should indeed make an example of these kids. At min, suspensions.

The principal letter to the parent is also a bit concerning. She asked the parent to not have students spread these picture because it tarnishes the school. That's ridiculous. It happen and she want suppression of it. Sorry, 70 students isn't a few and is a major incident and should not be suppressed. If there is any loyalty, it is not to the school, but to the general population in that area and the general public.

That's an upscale area with quite a bit of Indians and Chinese. I'm surprise Chinese wasn't included, but maybe that's just a reflection on the idiot who wrote the letter.

Pretty sure everyone can edit thread titles now. Look for the Thread Tools menu in the upper right of your OP. Not sure how long it gives you to fix it. The option does expire.

And smack some of the parents on the head for those few you said are racist because I bet their parents are also.
