LULZ. Didnt he refuse his championship ring from his half season stint with Cleveland to sign back with gsw to win one this year?
Forget about varajao. This is why the Warriors are who they are. Briante Weber is Pat Beverley in hyper mode. Much quicker and faster. We should have traded Bev for Noel when we had a chance and then signed this kid ourself. Golden State knows what they're doing, folks. They are one step ahead of everybody else. Oh, and they'll pick up a big by the deadline. You'd better hope they don't get their mitts on Noel.
Not so sure the Rockets passed as you think. There were rumors of a Bev, Dekker, and 1st round pick for Noel trade. Honestly, I'd say the Sixers were the ones that passed. But who knows the truth. We need one of the insiders to chime in on this.
Ah gotcha. That'd be a great trade as Capela then becomes a really good trade asset with his contract.
I'm shocked you like Briante Weber. Because you constantly flagellate Harden for his turnovers, and Weber is even worse. Weber is a whirling dervish on D, and very good distributor but very raw on O - his jumper is weak, never mind his 3 ball. He does look like he gained some weight and still retained his crazy speed, good for him. Was a Briante fan too, do I have to revise that now?
I would sign Larry Sanders over Anderson Varejao. Varejao doesn't really fit into this system of basketball, his skills don't compliment what we're trying to do. Dallas will probably end up picking him up, or maybe the Nets?
I guess in your basketball world 3 turnovers is the same as 6 turnovers? Now let's go to second grade. Weber steals the ball 3.3 times a game. Now, we're just talking about steals now, not offensive charges drawn, not tipped passes. Just steals. He offsets all his turnovers and then some. Now compare that to Harden. Terrible D, and Harden doesn't even offset a third of his turnovers. See the difference? Warriors just got better. And if we play them, Weber will be one of the guys dogging the dickens out of Harden, turning him over and watering down his efficiency. Meanwhile on the home front we've still got Hardens personal escort, Bobby Brown, anchoring down a roster spot. Warriors just got better.
He was averaging 3 TO's at Virginia Commonwealth, which is not quite the NBA. Stands to figure that his NBA his turnovers will increase against MUCH better competition, best competition in the world actually, even in my world. Again, I liked Weber. He was really raw coming out of VCU though, not sure how much he's improved in NBA D League but just googled and saw he won some awards and put up some crazy numbers. Great to see him succeeding. Using your offset approach by taking turnovers out of end result. Then Harden's 6 TO's are easily offset by the 29 points or 11 assists or 8 rebounds he averages, right?
