[ESPN] Miles Plumlee to Charlotte for Roy Hibbert/Spencer Hawes

Plumlee has ZERO potential. He's old and what he is.
He and his younger brother are nothing alike as players.
The difference is FIT. Plumlord is good in PNR good at catching lobs, setting screens, rolling. Last year he was elite as a rollman in points per possesion..
But when there is Jason Kidd the genius as a coach, he doesn't use any PNR but wants to run the offence through the C no matter the personell, that makes him useless.

The contract is bad no matter what. But the fit with Kemba is there and because of Zeller getting injured they needed to find a replacement who coud work with Walker in the PNR.

They are a treadmill team with no capspace and a need to make the playoffs.

 

Bad only in one dimension. This allows Charlotte to use the full MLE vs. the smaller MLE they had prior to this trade. Don't think Charlotte was ever that enamored with Spencer, and Roy has had two great games out of two seasons now... The deal has value to it. Your later point about his fit with Kemba is more likely a fit with Nic as he is a very similar player to Zeller. You slide Cody out and Miles in, team likely needs to change little. And considering they are 1-11 without Zeller on the floor this year, there's merit to wanting another Zeller vs Hibbert/Hawes.

 

Novak had his best year under D'Antoni, anybody think there is any interest in picking him up? You would think that in this 3 ball happy league that someone could use a one trick pony sniper.

You have to do something when you go on a losing streak and have been losing for a month and a half, after a very solid start.

Kemba is better and a deserved all-star this year ... but they're missing something.
