They got 2 ALL NBA players, Kyrie and Love. They got all NBA defenders in TTBOY. They got 3 great outside 3 point shooters in JR, Korver, Frye.

What does Harden have? A hurt EGordon, a hurt Bev, a hurt Ryno, a hurt Clint.

Have any of the Rockets even made all All Star team? Love and Kyrie are ALL NBA and always on the ALL Star team.

I would put it this way, the current rockets team will win conference final in the east while the current cavs would barely make the top 3 if they played in the west.

LBJ has been playing in a less competitive league for his entire career and that would be part of his "legacy" at the end of the day.

Underdog needs to put a troll face on Barkley on the next Inside The NBA. QJ responded just the way I thought he would, some self important blather that goes personal. I'm surprised he didn't pull out a tiara and put it on his head while he was talking.

The Rockets are the only ones that made Barkley eat his words and apologize; this isn't going to slow down the Barkley train, it only reemphasized the opinions he's held before. Chuck has burned bridges with MJ with his past comments, so it's obvious he values airing his opinion over having any friendship with NBA peers past and present.

    Just entertainment for Barkley.

    Keep googling each other's 'scandals'.

There is truth and there have been issues.... whatever issues they have it is just another chapter in Barkley's rich history of narratives.

He is a decent entertainer but he isn't the best basketball mind and I don't think he was a Top 10 Alltime Great.

The thing is Lebron isn't clearly the best player any more or at least he is starting to decline, so he won't be able to put it out there every game.

    Bickering be continued.

Certainly understand Lebron feeling the need to respond to what Barkley said.

Saying personal stuff about Chuck was WAY off base.

I am not the biggest Chuck fan, but what he said about Lebron was right on.

The Cavs are the defending champs.
They're 30 million over the cap.
With the Lebron, Irving and Love contracts they obviously aren't in a position to make any major moves.
That said they were able to trade for Korver.
They signed JR because Lebron wanted them to.

With all that Lebron is upset with Gilbert?
I agree with SAS that Lebron sees the writing on the wall that they're going to have an extremely tough time beating the Warriors in a seven game series. That there's a good chance that GS will have that nucleus together for the next few years, and that's a threat to Lebron's "legacy". So he starts whining like a little b****.

Everytime it gets tough Lebron bails.
Bailed on Cleveland when he realized he wasn't going to win a title there.
Teams up with his friends in Miami (Wade & Bosh), and in his opinion this move was going to put him in a very strong position for the coming years so what does he do? He starts POPPING off with they're going to win "not one...not two...not three...not four" titles BS.

As soon as he realized that Bosh wasn't coming back because of his medical issue, and that Wade's knees were becoming an issue as well he realized his "legacy" and winning seven titles (or whatever the hell he was claiming) wasn't going to happen.

So what does he do? He concocts some BS story of wanting to go home to Cleveland and win the city a title. He saw the Cavs with Irving and a lot of cap room, and this situation was going to be way better than the Miami situation AND it painted Lebron in a good light as he was now going to be the good guy by going home to Cleveland to try and bring the city a championship.

When Cleveland gets beat in the finals this year he'll start whining again like a little b**** and he'll want to bail again claiming that Gilbert hasn't lived up to his part of the bargain (thus why he's crying now). He'll try and go to a team that has one elite player with some big cap room and he'll start recruiting some other free agents to join him.

So what Barkley is saying is RIGHT ON!!!

    Shut up and compete.
It would be one thing if you're team sucked a$$.
    You're the DEFENDING CHAMPS!!!

Well... they got further than they did the previous year by trading for Barkley, then beat the team that they lost to. So if the point is to get better then the Barkley trade worked. That's the answer to your "so what" - also, had Brent Price not been hurt all year long, who knows.

Well, the nba has always had the worst image on their athletes from all 4 sports. So NBA guys, it should be proper to watch their image. It doesnt make sense to me too, because out of the NFL, MLB And NBA.NBA has the least crime. But still alot of people hate the league. Its nonsense. So i dont mind lebron trying to protect his legacy.

Nothing Barkley said to me was out of line. We all probably agree with what he said. The Cavs are well over the cap and have paired two all-stars with Lebron, while offering big extensions to all of their role players. And Lebron is going to complain publicly about management being cheap and needing another playmaker? Outside of GS, the Cavs have the strongest roster in the league.

Barkley acknowledged Lebron as a great player and respected the Cavs' achievement of winning a championship. Lebron brought up a bunch of personal stuff. I guess no one's allowed to have an opinion on Lebron that isn't 100% flattering.

"I'm not going to let him disrespect my legacy like that"

What a b****. Screw your legacy.

Barkley stop saying bad things on the Rockets and GS for whatever reasons, then open his big mouth on Lebron. It sounds like he is only person who knows Lebron is not the King, but some others think Lebron is better than Jordan. Did Barkely keep saying GS is not going to win anything big by playing the small ball? TNT rate is up due to this? What a world!

One thing I forgot to post: Barkley is a big-mouth jerk, James is also a whiny chump, a typical jerk fighting .

Lebron complaining about not having another playmaker is akin to a rich daddy's money boy complaining about how his private jet doesn't have its own personal hangar. Gotta side with Barkley here:

Russ and Harden carrying islands of misfit toys into the playoffs at the moment.

I thought the point during that time was to win it all. An argument could be made that they simply robbed from Peter (93-95 teams that Utah couldn't beat) to pay back Paul (96 Seattle team that Rockets were probably fortunate to not have faced during the championship runs). The problem is that Seattle wasn't the team to beat. Utah was. Seattle soon after self destructed while Utah was longterm.
Too bad we no longer had stretch-four Horry and Sam I Am.
Brent Price? Really? He wasn't relevant here long enough to even be considered a "what if".

You guys hate Barkley that much? He was objective and acnkmowleged how good Lebron is. Apparently you need all the best players on your team, or goto a team with already loaded stars if you're one of the league's best players. Lebron also lashed out in a personal manner which shows how insecure he is. The choice on who is in the wrong is clear...

Lebron is a b****, but it just goes to show you how much power individual players can have over the NBA. If players want to collude and form super teams then nothing will stop them from doing that, especially the NBA who rakes in all that cash from it they will simply turn head the other way.

The bigger issue with what Lebron did is that it set a precedent moving forward, for all other star players. We've seen it with Durant now too. I know the new CBA is trying to make the NBA look more legit by allowing teams to throw even more money at stars now but that won't change anything because NBA stars for the most part still make it up on endorsements, so they will still leave and form super teams and accept less money.

The NBA really needs to install a franchise player tag option, the same way the NFL has done. Otherwise its all about the super teams.
