That's how you respond when coach basically calls you out for playing soft defense?

In the words of Charles Barkley....TERR-U-BUHL...ABDOTUTELY TERR-U-BUHL.

    In other fan news:

Spurs fans furious they lost two games in a row to Pelicans and at home against Dallas, while the team mentions fatigue during a 4-game road trip.

    ---------------------
San Antonio had just come off a four-game road trip spanning six days. So naturally, fatigue might have factored into the club's meltdown, right?

"Probably," Leonard said. "But it's not an excuse. We were in the game. We were up nine or 10 points at halftime, and we gave it away."

    ---------------------
Green said. "The last couple of games, defensively and offensively, we haven't been playing as well. I think it has to do with the mental lapses, and also physical. But mentally, we're making simple, easy mistakes that can be fixed. Mental fatigue plays a big part in it."

    ---------------------
Versus NOLA: "We just ran out of gas," said coach Gregg Popovich.

Versus Dallas: "Too many mental errors defensively," Popovich said. "I thought we did a really poor job discipline-wise. Weak-side defense wasn't there. [Harrison] Barnes did a great job. Nobody seemed to be able to guard him. Perhaps I should've gone after him earlier. But I thought we'd be able to guard him, and we weren't. Too many weak-side errors defensively where they got to the rim just too easily. The mental mistakes defensively were really costly."

    ---------------------
"Our defense was pretty poor; mainly, communication. We were always late," Ginobili said. "We went in at halftime up by 10. It wasn't bad. Then, third quarter, we just couldn't make stops. We were flat. Exactly the same thing that happened in New Orleans [during Friday's loss]. Again, very poor performance."

That's a huge part of it, but it's not just that. Where's the unstoppable Harden/Capela pick and roll we saw nonstop early in the season? Where's the defensive intensity we saw in Dec? I would argue that those shots feed on our defense creating turnovers and run outs.

Nope, coach Pop already came out and said that the reason the Spurs lost those games was because of James Hardmans turnovers.

They don't have James Harden on their team so their turnovers are cool.

Are all NBA schedules as brutal as ours or is it just you know, a conspiracy that the Rockets got handed this **** filled schedule?

I'm pretty sure someone at ESPN had something do to with our scheduling

its gone perhaps because there's no 3pt shooting to provide spacing?
as per defensive intensity there was a lot of shitty defense in december as well and there was some defensive intensity during january
so you think defense provide 3 pt looks? perhaps but we had a lot of wide open looks in january and didnt make them
as well as we hit a lot of crazy 3s over hands of defenders in december splash gordon in particular so that didnt have to do anything with defense
