Could things be any worse in that locker room? Chuck: Rondo was 100% correct. One guy won championships, the other is a good player. Easy to blame everyone else. They've blown two 10-point leads with 2 minutes to go with Wade & Butler. They have to take responsibility. Wade is an aging superstar. Miami let him go. He thought Chicago would be a great story. They stink & he wants out. That's plain & simple. Kenny: Agree with Chuck & Rondo. I played with one of the best to ever play, Hakeem Olajuwon. When Hakeem was frustrated at one time, he called out a guy in the locker room, he said Adrian Caldwell, if you don't come to practice early with me & play me one-on-one, we know you don't want to play now. We know you don't want to play. Next 15 days, him & Adrian playing one-on-one everyday. When guys are talking into the mic, it's like a cop out & cowardly. You don't want to face the music. Shaq: I've done both. Player-only meetings, called them out in the media ... it's a test. The problem started because Rondo is having problems with the coaching staff. That can split a locker room. I don't like to call anyone out but that coach is the wrong coach for that type of team. You need a special individual with leadership qualities to bring everyone together.
Gibson said Hoiberg's message in yesterday's meeting was he's going to hold players more accountable Spoiler Taj Gibson said some of the younger players took issue with how much Dwyane Wade sits out of practice Taj said the young guys asked for Wade to practice more and Wade practiced today Wade practiced. He doesn't always practice. Taj said the young players asked more of Wade in yesterday's meeting Taj: "We're fortunate to be in the East." Gibson admitted the team was nowhere near emotionally prepared to play a game last night. It definitely showed Gibson, on whether players sometimes have taken advantage of Hoiberg giving them freedom: "Maybe sometimes." When asked to rank how crazy this week has been compared to others in his career, Gibson said it was only a "four or five." Gibson ranking this week’s drama on a 1-10 scale: “Probably a 4-5. I’ve seen worse." Hoiberg said that Butler and Wade will be back in their usual starting roles tomorrow. Jerian Grant expected to start as well.
Bulls Threatened To Cut Jimmy Butler's Minutes If He Didn't Sign Extension In 2014 ... Tom Thibodeau refused to follow through with the Bulls' threat and Butler emerged as the Most Improved Player in the NBA. Butler went on to sign a five-year, $95 million contract as a restricted free agent. "Butler doesn't trust the front office because he feels like they were going to do this to him. And that's why there's always this animosity and that's why his name, even though I could never truly figure out where he's connected other than maybe the Boston rumor or the Minnesota rumor going back to last summer's draft." Butler shared his mistrust of the Bulls with Dwyane Wade and that has spilled over to Fred Hoiberg as well.
Sounds like that organization is in trouble. It was a bad mix of talent and personalities anyway, but that is going south real quick. And yet, they're the 7th seed in the East.
Again?? GarPax also spied on Thibs. The relationship between Jimmy and them seem to have reached the lowest point. If the owner doesn't step in it will only get worse and worse. At least Forman has to go.
Should've signed for the minimum with us, how in the world does anyone stay there? Bulls as an organisation have been a mess for years, glad I was never a Bulls fan in the 90s and got hooked by Olajuwon's moves and developed a connection with the Rockets even as a European. Rockets are a great organisation and I'll take 2 rings and everything we have over those 6 rings and the aftermath.
I look at your sig and noticed that you thought Exum and Oladipo were going to be stars. Do you still think they can turn into stars or are they pretty much what they are at this point? Nice call on Hezonja though. I thought he would be a solid role player at least...
