Yeah we had a bit of a slide last week, but I'm disappointed they made no mention of us destroying Memphis on Saturday
The Miami loss negated that. If the Rockets had beaten the Heat and the rest of the week played out the same way, they'd deserve a higher ranking. Losing big to the Warriors(even at home) is forgivable given that team's record and their level of play since the Grizzlies debacle.
Not to mention it coincided with Gordon and Anderson being out or hurt. Those guys guys matter, especially Gordon. Stay healthy my friends.
That memphis team that's 4-6 in their last 10 including losing to the lowly Lakers. It's not an impressive win except to us since they were 2-0 against us.
They have been very lenient this week, because I wouldn't say we've been the 3rd best team in the league or played like it last week.
Like y'all said rest will do this team some good. They historically always come out strong after the All Star break.
I like the love EG is getting for 6th man. I think it's his to lose as of right now, gotta keep it going!
Here's your respect: http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/18892944/nba-power-rankings-marc-stein-week-21-rankings
I honestly think this is the real ranking since the start of the season. However with KD, Love and LMA injuries there's a big chance for Houston to climb up the rankings by the time playoffs happen.
Damning with faint praise that first sentence from Dallas Stein on the Rockets. Such a clown. The 3-point line Nate Archibald did not have has certainly helped James Harden in this quest, but he's just five points away from becoming the first player in NBA history to score at least 2,000 points and assist on 2,000 points in a single season.
NBA Power Rankings: Rockets, Warriors continue battle for No. 1 1. Houston Rockets 2017-18 record: 46-13 James Harden posted his ninth 40-point game this season, which is the most in the NBA. In fact, he has three more such games than any other player (Anthony Davis has six). -- Sarah Langs
