We have had a string of injuries and an illness over the past week or so (not included Capela's). During this time we have been rotating different players while losing 4 games. However, this is not necessarily a bad thing.

The playoffs are about matching up with the same opponent and making adjustments. How else are you going to learn how to change the lineup effectively if you can't practice it in real game situations.

These small little blips are allowing other people to step up to where we can change the momentum just enough to fool the other team. I liked what I saw against Memphis today with Anderson out and Dekker starting. Gives us another avenue to consider come playoff time. We already became much deeper as a team when Capela went out and Montrezl getting big minutes. Now it's Dekker's turn. Soon enough we will be able to rotate players on a constant basis and feel we didn't lose much in the process.

And once we are in a dogfight winning perhaps the first game of a series and the other team learns how to clamp down effectively on Harden (like GS did in the 2nd half), then the Rockets have to know they can make that transition which could be just as deadly to contend against.

I hate losing games (especially at home), but if it makes us better in the long run then I will accept that the Regular season only counts for seeding and not for perfection.

So you are saying we can lose 80 games as long as we can show we can make adjustments?

Nice comedy, but as stated the Reg Season is about SEEDING not perfection. Not suppose to win EVERY game. When your team is hit with injuries then that's the time to see what kind of adjustment can be made to better yourself in the long run. Those don't always result in regular season wins.

A few loses don't equate this team to being a bad team all of a sudden like many seem to suggest (or drastic changes).

I agree too. I think this Griz game was a really valuable game for the Rockets. Even if they ended up losing I would have been okay with the team. Harden actually played hard defense last game too. This game everyone got on the band wagon.

If they show the energy and passion that they did in this game vs Griz then I will be happy to watch Rockets even if they do go into a slump. It seems that their offense has taken a hit (not just their shooting but they playmaking) and their defense has gotten better.

My main issue with the Rockets is that they keep shooting 3's even if they are up 30 instead of slowing the game down and driving more.
