Kind of wish they went with a more local route. I recall a story saying In-And-Out wouldn't come to Houston because of all the local burger competition. Don't get me wrong...Shake Shack is great, but I'd love to show visiting fans a real Houston experience, kind of like how NRG has Killen's BBQ.

Maybe Lankfords, Bubbas, Pappas, or Stanton City Bites. I know they had Little Bigs a couple years ago, but they were just small vendors.

Torchy's is already overpriced as far as tacos are concerned. Will probably cost an arm and a leg at the stadium. Houston has so many incredible (and better priced) taco places, I rarely go to Torchys.

Yeah, not in the least bit excited about torchys. I need real Mexican tacos to suffice.

I feel you on the local thing. Every restaurant you listed wouldve been great as well but Ill also throw in Christians Tailgate and Hubcap.

I think that would be an environmental hazard in the city.

How does Torchy's compare to Moe's?

I don't understand why so many exist.

Torchy's is pricey for tacos, but I think it's very good personally.

The tortillas at Torchy's could be bought at a grocery store.

    That's some serious whitebread ****.

If you go to torchys get the "trailer park" taco. Best one on the menu. The beef fajita taco is eh.

I don't think they are pricey, I at lunch there for $5 last week.

That being said, I don't think its that good. Queso is bad, tortillas are no fresh, and all the tacos taste the same to me. Here is Denver the tex-mex food is not very good and Torchey's fits right in line with the rest of the mediocrity imo. Lots of better taco places in particular. In Houston I can only imagine there are hundreds of better taco places.

Torchys has good stuff. The guac is solid. Shake shack is very average. It looks trendier than Burger King but I'd rather have a whopper if you put the 2 next to each other.

Texas Whopper is one of the best fast-food burgers ever.. especially if there's cheddar available.

Who knows about Moe's? There are so many, but I'd put Taco Cabana over it. Cabana still sell rita's?

I will forever question your taste on any and everything if you consider torchys quest "bad"... say what you will about their tacos (solid IMO but nothing great especially for the price) but their queso is the t*** supreme. And that is unquestionable.
