heh I want to see what the players' voted! Can't wait to see super mad Westbrook now. Also very happy that Isaiah Thomas, didn't make it as starter.
story on here or national news to who's going to be pg . might be on here since we're going to be bored with no rocket news but it won't be a national headline.
Wow really because I think curry is good enough to be starting and is the better player I should stop watching basketball? He's only the b2b MVP and NBA champion your right that's crazy that he would start the allstar game. Westbrook is overrated that doesn't mean he's a bad player or not allstar worthy. You should watch basketball and not look at box scores. Westbrook does not make his teammates better, he has talent around him. Watch okc play his teammates are even starting to get annoyed you can see it on their face. Your acting like I said Eric Gordon should be starting over Russ.
Westbrook demolished Curry in both the Player & Media Votes. But Curry gets in via fan vote tie-breaker
Where are the results. If Curry won the fan voting, and WB was 3rd, WB would need to sweep media and player votes (beating out Harden) to even tie Curry. Did WB sweep player and media votes? If so, then Harden had to secure a 2nd finish in all three to have beaten out WB in a tiebreaker as well
Can someone post the three results between Curry, Harden and WB Was it a three-way tie of 8 points each Curry 1st 3rd 3rd Harden 2nd 2nd 2nd Westbrook 3rd 1st 1st
Actually I'm wondering why 1A and 1B in the MVP race aren't starting together in the back court for the all star game. While someone not even in the conversation for MVP is starting over one of the aforementioned MVP candidates.
It was indeed a three way tie. WB swept the player and media votes. How much of that was them trying to get WB in as starter knowing Curry would likely win fan vote? Or is that what they actually believe. Anyhoot, Curry needed to finish 4th in something to get knocked out. From ESPN Westbrook actually was tied with Curry and Harden in the points tally after finishing first in the media vote and player vote and third in the fan vote, but Curry and Harden beat him out because the fan vote was the tiebreaker.
Here's the final ballot http://official.nba.com/wp-content/...7-All-Star-Starters-Player-Voting-Results.pdf
Yep those are correct. Graphic I saw was on TNT. They had some formula where they all tied with a 2.0 score. Media votes 93 - Westbrook 91 - Harden 6 - Curry Player Votes 167 - Westbrook 149 - Harden 63 - Curry
Yeah the formula is you add up each voting rank and add the fan rank twice, then divide sum by 4 to get their average rank where fan vote counts twice as strong Curry 1+1+3+3 = 8 / 4 = 2.0 Harden 2+2+2+2 = 8 = 2.0 WB 3+3+1+1 = 8 = 2.0 As I offered earlier in this thread, had they used a scoring system of total votes whereby media and player votes use a multiplier to make them loud votes, then Curry gets knocked out in a close fan vote outcome. Instead they used this point system which makes it nearly impossible for the 1st place fan vote recipient to be beat. The total vote method is better since the point system method has flaws similar to the Electoral College.
