ClutchFans Game Thread: Grizzlies @ Rockets 1/13/2017

They have played like **** the past week or so. They are constantly giving up double digit leads and are playing some weak defense now. There is plenty of cause for alarm.

 

You cannot beat good teams if you play only two or three quarters like we always do (especially in the last period), today we stopped playing defense in the third and we just went full r****d launching outside contested shots even when we could've tried something else, work with the clock and look if you can find a better/easy shot instead of chucking up 3 after 3 with 15 seconds on the shot clock....and again, play some defense, you're pathetic if you let Tony Allen score 25 points with 9 on 10 from the field, just pathetic.

 

When the Refs 'let them play' while we get every ticky tack call in the book . . . .
hard to win that way

Not hitting open shots did not help .
Ryno did not seem to even look for the shot at some points
He concerns me greatly. . . . . I am so worry he will vanish in the play offs
Ariza too but at least Ariza can attack the basket . . .somewhat

Knkw what sucks? If Memphis had dominated us all game, or if it had been close all game and we just couldnt pull it out... thats one thing...

But wtf is this fake dominating bs where we go up by almost 20 and then lose it all over and over and over and over again, my GOD, I mean... if you cant make a shot, then inject your energy into defense and play SMART!

instead, we do ALL of the above together over such a long period of time that we lose all command.

2 losses in a row isnt the problem.

6. Turnovers. A. Game.

The same type of mistakes and lazy passes over and over. It's cost us three or four games already, it will cost us more in the playoffs.

Guess who guarded Tony Allen. This is why Harden needs to reduce the turnovers, he already has a major weakness in his game. Can't afford another one.

 

next 2 are trap games, Rockets better not underestimate their opponents again and start chucking 3s while not playing D.

 

How do you shoot that atrociously tho? Like I'm honestly curious, why does every single player on this team struggle with their shot at the same damn time?

 

The match only relies on harden. Morey should have a trade to assist him.

 

I'd have much less of a problem getting blown out tonight. It really is bothersome the way these games have gone for a few weeks even though we managed to salvage most of them.

 

The schedule is a bit tougher this month for them. They'll continue to beat up on bad teams (or should) and play good teams tough. That's usually how you finish top 5 in the nba.

 

Shouldn't you be busy cutting yourself right now? Every damn thing is cause for concern w you. Funny that I can't remember you ever being enthused about anything though. You must expect perfection from every aspect of your life the way you are constantly disappointed w every little thing the rockets do.

Want to call it a reality check game but it's not, we missed it seems like every wide open shot and we're still down only 4 in the last minute, I'll take it because gordan was rusty and everyone was off, had it been another night it would of stayed a blowout

 

Doesn't matter? Did you not watch all the missed open shots and layups in the second half?
