Only caught the end of the Press Conference. Noticed on the final question, he avoided answering the question if he had any contact with Russia leading up to the election. Instead, he only answered the third part of the reporter's question of what would your message be to Russia. And then he promptly ended the Press Conference, so no reporters could ask as him to clarification on that question. How convenient.
I guess the resident "really not a Trump supporter" dudes have to trust Assange over Trump, right? They had already gone to the mat for Julian being more trustworthy, more pure, than all 17 intelligence outfits in their own country. Man, tough call here. Probably Trump has been bamboozled by the so-called intelligence community, which is obviously just trying to please Obama during the last minutes of his lame duck presidency, because that will help their careers... somehow... perhaps by serving as rent-a-cops during his speaking engagements.
Not a good day for the GOP Never Trump Brigade, between the Russia admission and the piss story being given to the FBI by John McCain.
Can't trust government Can't trust news media Can't trust scientists But I looked into the heart of Putin, and he's a swell guy. Did I do that right?
Beautiful post. The last paragraph...my goodness. It's insane that this is the narrative his supporters buy into.
This could be why Trump's people have limited his press conferences. He babbles and blusters so much that sometimes an inkling of truth (something his team didn't want to admit) finds its way out his mouth amongst the lies.
Legit question here. Since I missed most of the press conference, was there a distinction made between what was leaked by WikiLeaks and what was leaked by Guccifer 2.0 to Gawker and The Hill? Julian Assange claims that what he has published is not from a state party; he cannot make the same claim for the leaks provided by Guccifer 2.0 (which he even admitted looked to be of Russian origin). WikiLeaks has to my knowledge never had a whiff in what they've published and have been pretty credible with their word. Once upon a time Mr. Assange was a bit more revered by those left of center (especially when he was working his magic on GWB). Oh how the mighty have fallen.
