Now that we have reached 30 wins (30-9). What do you feel is the most likely scenario to end the season for the Rockets?
i really want 60 wins and don't think it's impossible, but I think we end up winning 28 more games hitting 58 total.
I agree. As a fan I prefer to take it one game at a time. But there seems to be a lot of people who feel that since we are on pace for 62 wins that we should get there. I was curious to know how many actually felt we were better than our current record or possibly that we overachieved. I actually don't think 62 wins is going to happen and 56-58 is more realistic.
If everyone stays healthy I don't see any reason we couldn't win 60+ games this year. But, its not really all that important. I would rather see James usage come down, and guys get some rest and win 55 games vs. winning 63 games only to watch it all fall to pieces in the playoffs.
Unfortunately there are 3 types of teams in the NBA. The teams that are so good and stacked that they can afford to rest players, teams that are fighting for the playoffs or won't make it at all, and teams like the Rockets who need to play everyone every game just to keep up with the best and get home court advantage. It's nice to have rested players, but if it comes at the expense of a lower seed in the playoffs compared to possibly catch San Antonio for the division- I'd take the homecourt in the playoffs and roll the dice. We saw how far we got in 2015 as the #2 seed. One win could mean all the difference.
Hah, you have 43-0 as an option, but your worst case scenario is 22-21? Anyways, I really believe in this team. We look legit right now, and there's every reason to believe we are. Houston fans have been burned so many times when having high hopes, but as a wise man once said... don't stop believing. With Capela coming back in a couple weeks, I think 60 wins is absolutely attainable. I'm going to say 30-13. (Hard to imagine Anderson or Gordon not going down for at least a week or two at some point)
- 60-22 - We sweep the 7 seed. - We beat San Antonio (in 7) in round 2 of the playoffs. - We take the Warriors to 7 games in the WCF setting up NBA's best rivalry for the next 5 years.
Are you saying that home court advantage over the Spurs doesn't matter or are you stating that going to the NBA Finals and losing would be considered a bad season?
Looks like this one was the likely scenario (which only 1 person picked) "Injury to Anderson or Gordon for seveal games (25-18)" We are still on pace for this prediction.
