It's not technically lying, but more so a carefully crafted illusion with the side potential for plot twists in the form of Yule C's -- And this method he uses tends to run up board activity with a very high number of replies over short periods of time, often resulting in massive threads (such as this one) that are filled with page after page of mostly worthless ****, but at the end the day the illusion still wins, sig material is made, multiple laughs are had, tons of likes are given out to the parties involved, clap clap, etc. Thank you BBholic. The dude loves you.
Dude come on, you said we were going to struggle around .500 if he starts and now we have to go 11-32 the rest of the way for that to happen. You were off base man, we get to laugh at ourselves sometimes.
15-2 in the last 17 games he started before the injury. The team was trending in the right direction with him starting if you ask me.
See? This is pure gold right here folks. Holic wants to blame those losses on Capela when in reality he's created an illusion here by not mentioning the fact that Beverly was out for most of those. You guys see what I mean about the illusion stuff? It's really quite fun.
This post was made on June 15, 3 weeks or so before free agency began. And it was based on plugging CC into the lineup in place of Dwight. Our team at that time didn't have Gordon nor Anderson nor Nene. We were looking at re-signing DMo and trying to get Horford to replace Dwight as our starting 5 or play the 4 alongside CC. Hence I made the statement above. I will admit we have gotten off to a better start than I thought we would although I never posted how well we would do after our team was put together except to say we were a 4-6 seed or 4-7 seed. What I have posted since our team was put together is that we lack two things (and you can put them in any order you want, because it doesn't make any difference what order they are in, we need both of them to win a championship): 1. Another primary playmaking distributor on the perimeter that is more efficient at handling and distributing the basketball than Harden is. 2. A great defensive anchor/rim protector. I've consistently stated these are our impediments to winning a championship since our roster has been put together. I've also stated that as currently constructed we are somewhere between a 4-6 seed in the playoffs. Currently, we are slightly above that. This team has been on a tear. But the season is 82 games long fellas, not 39. And we're going to get dinged, we're going to go through cold spells. And teams are going to learn better how to defend us as the season goes along. Yes, we'll hit the post trade deadline period when all the lottery teams just roll over for us and all the rest of the playoff teams. But we're going to still have to keep that #3 spot or fall to where I have projected we will be. Once again.....this statement is barring upgrades in the two areas I gave you above. See that? You have to understand time and circumstance. You guys do this over and over with trade and player acquisition info that is given (leaked) to you. You look at it in some sort of permanent vacuum instead of realizing things change over time. And when somebody tells you talks are happening but the trade doesn't go down you automatically label the poster as a fraud. You have to consider the date stamp on the post. They do expire. Every post has a certain window within which it is made and a certain set of circumstance to which it applies. Here's what I'll tell you. When we signed Anderson/Gordon I knew our shooting issues were fixed. I stated so in multiple posts after we signed them. Shooting was no longer going to be the issue that we could point to as not being good enough. I stated that we now needed to concentrate on replacing Dwight's impact defensively and on the boards and we had to deal with helping Harden lower his turnover count and become multi-dimensional offensively by having at least two playmakers on the floor at all times. I'm holding to all that. Haven't changed my tune. And won't change on that until the appropriate player acquisitions are made. I'm also holding to what I believe about CC. 1. We need to trade CC because his trade value is going to decrease as he goes into his fourth season and he' simply not good enough in the middle nor is ever going to be good enough in the middle to win a title as the main rim protector/defensive rebounder. 2. In the long run, Thon Maker is going to be the superior player and have a much better career than CC. 3. If we had Thon Maker playing 20 minutes a game at the 5, our record wouldn't be much different than it is right now. How do I know? Because we're starting a 6'8" second year player at the 5 and nothing is changing. If anything we're actually better because the 6'8" guy is even more mobile than CC. But that's not going to work in the long run. Enjoy the moments now. Because if we are starting CC/Harrell come playoff time we are going to get gouged and dominated in the middle. CC's cracks are already showing. He lacks stamina....as I told you last year. Now he's put on weight and muscled up a bit and he's less mobile, has less stamina that he previously had, and the injuries are starting to bite. We need a serious upgrade at the 5. I'd still trade CC for Thon Maker right now. But no way would Milwaukee do that deal.
