Since it is pointless to avoid the similarities between this and 9/11 and the WTC, has anyone heard any recent reports regarding 10/25 and EGC? Any news on why these terroristic shots were fired? Where there any injuries?

An update would be greatly appreciated for us out-of-towners.

Check your post Alex, you brought his name up first. Calling me names and 'Judging' me has no effect whatsoever on my character. I am incapable of hate or arguing on the Net, they are both a waste of time.

The closest thing this has to do with the WTC is that this thread has been hijacked.

Anyone got some more news for the out-of-towners?

"We have a situation here people," can we just stay focused on the issue at hand. Is there any REAL NEWS on the incident?! I think some of you would get into arguments during a nuclear attack!

Man, I told yall about Eddie's brother pulling a gun out on her family asking for the kid, but they didnt want to. I know his girlfreinds cousin, I been knowing that fat suicidal biatch for atleast year and a half. She told me about this incedent a month ago, and I told her, that her family would be in deep **** if they did something to Eddie. I said, "I would go to her familie's house myself, and deliver a ass-wipping to them personally, if they would harm ne of the rockets. This is the reason Eddie hasnt been playing, the dumb money hungry ho is holding him back from his real love, the game.

Sensitivity to the "human" and "terrorist" situation aside, yadda yadda...

Sadly, we probably have lost Eddie for nothing now. Rockets will most likely release him flat out. That sucks.

Way to go Eddie. Hope you're alright. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. See you at the crack house in a couple of years.

I wouldn't doubt that. From all accounts, it sounds like a pretty heavy situation w/ some pretty shady characters. Its unfortunate that Eddie surrounds himself with this crowd (or did surround himself with this crowd) but I certainly don't expect him to shoulder the blame for everything that is going. I have seen this same situation kill friends.

I think right now, more than anything, Eddie Griffin needs our prayers, not our hate.

    jopatmc,

Here's what you are doing. You are speculating about a situation, making it worse in your mind, then trying to set a standard for everyone else to follow in terms of sensitivity. Good god man! This is no way comparable to 911/WTC or anything "killing" or "death." This is just a "disturbance: gun shots fired in neighborhood" Have a little perspective and stop blowing things out of proportion.

rockHEAD lightened a situation. Something that we had little information about. Big deal! But you act like he's some part of the "axis of evil" or something. You think "violence" is like a "big bad monster" that's waiting to get you! Take each incident one occurrence at a time.

Once I got into a fist fight with my bother when I was 6 years old. Was that "violence?" Was that the same as 911? Gun shots heard at Griffins house. No one hurt. Was that same as the Oklahoma Bombing? You just lump all "violence" into one big ball and call it "VIOLENCE and DEATH!"

Lighten up and stop taking life so seriously! Else you'll have an ulcer before you're 40. If someone makes a joke that is "sooooo incentive" then ignore them. Water off your back...

Has he been hanging out with The answer? Since they are both from the Area.

Maybe someone mistaked him for Joey Porter.

If Eddie was shooting at someone, there is over a 70% Chance they would be okay, and 95% if he was 25ft away or further.

pretty good joke...but there were gunshots fired! It is a very serious situation...are the Rockets just going to let him do whatever? They can't waive him...and leave him all alone.

    Thanks HonestAbe! :D

    Let's put things in perspective...

This seems more about a nasty custody battle with a gold-digging girl friend!

I'm with rH all the way in this thread. He's always been a good poster and I see nothing wrong with anything he said in this thread. Some of you guys just need to lighten up.

Workin like a dog man...thanks for the link...I actually saw that thread but I figured that the thing I saw on CBS was different. Keep up the good work Clutch...looking forward to this season!!! I'm moving to London for about 4 or 5 months for business so I'll be checking the site frequently and asking plenty of questions since I wont be staying up until 5:00 AM to watch games.

I blame the Rockets Leadership for not having people to deal with 'BOYS' coming into the Team. They need protection from their past society and in many cases protection from their uneducated family, who mentain the moral standards of their life prior to the sporting success of their child.
Eddie Griffin has given so many signals that were crys for help that the Rockets should have noticed and responded. Its still not too late to get Eddie away from his environment and sort out his problems, so that he might return to the Team.It is very poor sportsmanship for posters to make fun of this situation or to throw Eddie to the dogs.
