The second I saw the first period margin on my phone I immediately entered a blissful state of total relaxation, despite my previous upgrade of Toronto to junior peer status.

At that point, I could tell you how it was going to end.

The Rockets would start hitting shots at some point in the 2nd or 3rd.

Toronto's lead would evaporate.

Doubt, exhaustion and fatigue would appear in the purple hearts of Toronto They just played an exhausting game 22 hours ago.

They had the Rockets on the ropes, now they are back to square ZERO because Trevor Athreeza just introduced his fine self. Now it's a long hard slog - against a real contender. This is too much of a mountain, even for a junior peer.

Well, based on tonight's ratio, he would also have 80 points, 20 rebounds, and 22 assists. I'll take it.

 

if you want to talk logic. you are saying a guy is causing problems after 40-10-11 with key defensive plays to boot. he has some turnovers sure, but cmon my man what are you watching?!

I'm not sure you understand how logic works, did you go to bbholic school? The turnovers Harden commits in 1 game have no effect on the following game, they only effect the game the turnovers were in.

So no, if Harden commits 20 turnovers, or misses 20 shots, or only has 5 assists, or has 0 rebounds, none of these things carry over, so no they don't matter. These things matter when they become contributing factors to losing.

Haha no I've decided to make peace with holic in hopes he'll return to being a poster that shares his actual analysis.

How is that embarassing? He is a fine player for us - doesn't change anything at all, about past transactions, we signed him as a Free Agent, could have done that at any time.

Here's the thing... the team had 15 TOs to Toronto's 17 TOs. Someone pointed out the logic to me... if Harden averages 10 TOs a game it doesn't matter because he's the only one turning it over and 10/g as a team is a good number for a team that plays at this pace.

 

You must be a total buzzkill at social events... just endlessly whining about the same crap over and over.

We were ice cold shooting the three for 3 quarters, but lots of ball sharing and passes to open man under the basket. That kept us in the game. Then we got hot and tighten up the D. Good road win.
