The comparison is easy. People could be seriously injured or dead! There was no one making jokes that day. If you don't think it's funny, then it should bother you that people are making jokes about it. I can joke about Eddie's game, about his personal problems, but joking about violence........I don't get it.

I just don't understand how someone who has plenty of oppertunity to make a great life out of his can just throw it all away at the hands of stupidity. Its not that hard to get away from drugs. Get away from bad people. Eddie has more money then he knows what to do with. I'm poor and I still have more money-sense then someone with millions and driving nice cars and live in big million dollors homes who only has to do what he loves for a living and play basketball. He could have it all, and he chooses this. It's just crazy at how someone can do that, especially someone of Eddie's intelligence, of what I once thought (before he got caught using drugs). I'm glad he's not hurt, but he will never see himself in a Houston Rockets uniform again playing for our city.

none of this has anything to do with the WTC or the Pentagon, it's about a punk kid who can't get his shizznit together and it's damn funny cause if he was an upstanding citizen and didn't hang with the wrong crowd... NONE of this would be happening...

Good to hear that Eddie's alright, at least. I was afraid he might have tried to kill himself.

Enough with the WTC. No comparison.

What is the latest with Eddie? Shots fired by Eddie or someone else?

I couldn't agree more Rockhead. It's common knowledge that over half the players in the NBA smoke pot, but most if not all show up to Games and practices and earn their millions before the paying fans. But this guy is a waste of talent. He's either incredibly stupid, can't handle pot/women or wants to be traded. He has cost this team alot in draft picks and developement. I say be gone with him, how many chances does he get.
Yes I smoke pot and show up to work and produce every day, why can't we all just get along.

MO MONEY, MO PROBLEMS....I realized one thing....everyone in this world has their own personal problems, i have my own, you have yours...but money DOES NOT solve problems, albiet it does solve financial ones. In fact someone mentioned earlier about all those leeches, yeah well, if you have plenty of greens you'll have plenty of those and last time i checked leeches SUCK :D :D :D

It is not Sugar Land it is west side of Houston. I live in his subdivision and just walked by his house. One HPD car outside and one camera guy there. None of Eddie's cars are there. The camera guy was talking on the phone about not normally dealing with ESPN. There were a lot of neighbors outside, but nobody seemed to know anything.

What kind of thugs is Eddie surrounding himself with? I knew they wouldn't be choir boys, but this is like the second report I've heard about guns threatening Eddie's life. And people say Iverson hangs hangs out with a bad crowd.

Sorry, can't lighten up on violence friend. I guess to compare any violent act to WTC it has to involve 3,000 people losing their lives?????

When guns are fired inside of houses, it usually involves violence and death. 1 death or even 1 injury from violence is too many and it ain't funny to me. Never will be. I don't care what the circumstances or the cause or how few people are involved.

Our cavalier attitude towards violence in this country is helping to drag this nation down. Where are your values rockhead?
