Isn't it karma that the person who practically got on his knees to convince Durant to come to Oakland is the same one that is yelling at him and publicly throwing shade at Durant? What did you think was going to happen when you trade in chemistry/depth/teamwork for a player that has only known hero ball / iso all his career in OKC?
LOL Draymond Green is a crybaby and quitter. Just because he did not like that play, he virtually just standing at the corner and did nothing in the whole time. Way to go, hope you got traded to the Kings and enjoy your career with Cousins.
Right call to go Durant vs ZBo rather than Curry vs Conley, but Durant took a moronic shot, probably the only type of shot that Z-Bo could defend. OTOH, Curry had dropped 40 on Conley so maybe you go with what has been working all night. I think if Durant had made the shot it would have been worse for their chemistry. That's a legit argument that both sides will dig their heels into the ground. But with Durant missing, it's obvious he screwed up and I think they'll learn from it.
If you watch carefully, this all started when Curry had the ball and Durant ruined the offensive spacing and came into Curry's space trying to get the ball from him. You just don't do that to another MVP caliber player. You allow him to create and play off of him. You don't encroach into his space and throw off his timing while bringing another defender with you. Not liking this sequence at all for Durant and then he came and demanded the ball from Curry seconds later. Not a good look for him at all, but I hope they never work it out.
Looks like Durant lacks some BB IQ and prefers one-on-one raw talent over teamwork. They got the exact same Durant that was responsible for OKC blowing the series against GSW.
You guys are mostly incorrect. Hot hand or not, Durant vs ZBo? Come on, that's absolutely the right play, he just missed the shot. You take that play 100 out of 100 times and live with the answer. 95% of the time Durant scores. Still, the warriors mates gave up on the play, shows their disposition and their own low IQ.
Winning will cure that, but if they start losing games, uh oh. Draymond didn't even attempt to do anything, he just looked dumbfounded.
Durant was in the wrong but I think he wants the ball late because he is Durant and used to having it. I really dont' think this is a big deal. Superfriend teams have these types of problems. They learn.
Exactly. This is when Draymond first showed his frustration. Durant went up to Curry. He was probably supposed to set a pick. Instead, Durant went to Curry to get the ball, bringing his defender for the potential trap in the corner. Curry ran the play as if he got the pick. The visible frustration is reminiscent of last year's rockets. You just saw the discord between teammates on tv. Not a good sign if it's visible on court. That means a boiling point was reached long ago. Obviously, the Warriors are loaded with firepower, so they are sitting atop the NBA even with early chemistry issues.
Can somebody clear this up for me? Draymond looked upset when Curry passed Durant the ball, but what was Draymond upset about before that? And Curry didn't want to give Durant the ball so got upset when he passed it to him. So, Curry and Draymond were both visibly irritated when Durant wanted the ball, right? That's why Draymond was upset before Curry passed the ball to Durant?
