I was late to the game broadcast last night and tuned in just after the half time show started. First I didn't understand why they were in Las Vegas. Then the whole massage chair bit was lost on me too. What little discussion about the game itself was lost in the noise and giggling about Kenny Smith and the chair. I think I heard Barkley of all people say something positive about Harden. Then a cutaway to a bit with who I think was gary Payton and Kevin Garnett. Couldn't understand anything they said. Then back to the Vegas set with cracks about Smith's legs and his retort about doing someone's mom. Seemed to last an hour. Fortunately the second half started.
I can't understand why there are so many people who don't understand what KG is saying. Do you guys mean you aren't familiar with the terminology or his accent or his voice or what?
This, I also hear the same complaints when US people are discussing shows like Better Call Saul. Seems weird that we're foreigners but apparently able to understand English better than natives.
I enjoy the segment. It is pretty much barber shop conversation. Inside the NBA is the best sports show on right now. I don't think it needs to change and I hope they continue bringing retired athletes to the show. Area 21 with KG and Sheed was gold BTW.
KG went on a rant for 25 minutes the other night when it shouldve been a 2 second long answer. I forget what it was about but the dude just went on and on and on.
The way GP described how RW was carrying the rest of his teammates had the rest of the panel sheepishly laughing but they didn't want to call GP out on it. Those kind of unintentional funnies are why they need to keep GP, he keeps it real and won't disguise he's from the hood. I can do without KG, he's the same fake tough guy like when he was playing, he tries to talk smart bball analysis yet at the same time tries to be hood when people like GP are guests. No wonder Chuck busts his and Shaq's balls whenever Chuck gets a chance, they take themselves way too seriously.
They're probably beta testing K.G on like-ability so he can work on NBATV. They should do a redzone type show with angry ex-nba players switching from game to game just talking **** about how soft everyone is and at the end of the night they engage in hi-jinks ala Shaqtin a fool.
Good thing the majority of fans, award shows and ratings disagree with you. I'm sure the show will keep winning in those departments without you watching. All time low, Lolz.
the best banter came from chuck, eg, and kenny and now area 21 takes time away from them and shaq won't shut the hell up and let anyone talk. when he does shut up he tries to hard to be funny and it's fake asshit.
