I don't know if it's been mentioned, but for those looking to get in on the $35/month 100+ channel "forever deal", it's going to come to an end and jump to $60/month on the 9th.
Subbed to directv now when it first came out and it's been great so far. Only issue is that it doesn't have local channels (CBS, NBC etc.), but I got an antenna so it's all good.
I can't cord cut my own place, but this was the best thing for my parents. It's fine so far. There's a menu learning curve, but that's about it. It's a step down from the instant-pause all-room dvr stuff I'm used to, but for OTA tv, it's a huge step up. Make sure your wifi reception is good enough from where your tv is, or purchase a wifi booster to prevent slow processing times.
