Now that we have had the holidays I have had a chance to dive into my favorite series, Battlfield, with BF1 - and while it is gorgeous and there is a ton to do, I am finding it is missing some game play. 1st it is REALLY hard to see the enemy and identify them. 2nd - everyone just lays prone and waits 3rd, hard to hit enemies - accuracy is way off on weapons. Anyone else having any issues, am I missing something? DD
i was having trouble aiming and played with the sensitivity until i found my sweet spot . What do you mean by "game play lacking" ? it's basically the same as battlefield ever was concerning the actual game play . Love the operations and hope more will be added . Shotguns have way too much range and that lvl 10 helligeil or whatever its called is way over powered . BF4 had issues for a long time and they kept working on it until most issues were worked out, so I have faith this will continue to improve
1. You have tunnel vision and aren't very good. 2. Probably a good strategy by those people 3. You aren't very good My opinion is based on my own experience as a bad video game player. When I play BF1 with people who are good, none of these problems seem to exist.
1 - That's Battlefield. It's not a competitive shooter so developers aren't going to sacrifice visuals and authenticity for visibility's sake a la CSGO. 2 - That's Battlefield lol. 3 - I disagree. Although I also play a lot of CSGO. The only thing I can tell you is to boost your brightness and switch to using semi-automatics. Maybe lower your sensitivity and get used to that; especially if you are playing on PC. Flick fests work on consoles because of aim assist.
I assumed the guns were inaccurate because, well, the guns back then were inaccurate. That's what I didn't like about the game. It got MORE sim/realistic than ever (like canned animation load times to hop in a vehicle), but the weapons/vehicles became LESS effective/fun. The gameplay evolved into something more modern but the weapons/vehicles went retro. If you want to make a retro game I think you have to neuter it and make it more arcade style, like the 1943. The most fun I have is running around on horses slicing people for 1-hit kills. Unrealistic, but fun. The gas weapon is annoying. It adds no fun for me. Nuisance.
I often finish 1-2 in BF's I like. With this one I just got bored too quickly to bother getting better at it. It's still enjoyable somewhat, unlike the cops & robbers version.
Battlefield 1942 was and is still the best, Bad Company 2 is up there as well, Battlefield 4 is good, this one is gorgeous but game play is all over the place and not real defined..... To me, if you eliminated PRONE the game would be a lot better. DD
I bought Rainbow Six Shield and Overwatch but haven't really played them at all and only really play CS GO. I'm afraid it'll be the same if I buy Battlefield so haven't bothered playing that game at all. I've heard the game is rife with cheaters as well.
it does seem odd that someone can snap around a corner and one shot you, especially from a horse..... DD
Brother, I just picked up a copy today. I'm normally a COD player, what should I expect? Am I going to get fragged all day since I'll be a complete noob to this game?
Ok, after a few weeks I am liking it better, don't like that you can't change or unlock weapons between rounds, but once you get upgraded weapons it helps a lot. DD
The campaign is amazing, beautiful scenery, great stories and awesome gameplay. It's just criminal how short the stories are, really wish they would have at LEAST tripled the length off all them, they are way too good to be so short.
