That year we averaged 103.9 points and gave up 100.5 so our point differential was nowhere near what it is becoming right now. We were the 2nd seed, but our point differential in the West alone was good for only 5th best and 7th league wide. Right now we're 2nd in the West behind GS and 3rd in the whole NBA so that's why it just seems like this team is better because the wins have been far more impressive. http://www.basketball-reference.com/leagues/NBA_2015_standings.html
and what matters the most is the shooters or makers..open looks were there the whole time harden was here
i looked at the 2014/15 team and compared to this years... 2014/15......2016/17 PG Beverly = PG Beverly SG Harden = PG Harden SF Ariza = SF Ariza PF Motiejunas = PF Anderson C Howard = C Capela Bench Jason Terry < Eric Gordon Joey Dorsey < Nene T Jones < M Harrell Papanikolaou = Decker Nick Johnson > Tyler Ennis KJ = KJ Pablo Prigioni > Bobby Brown Josh Smith >> Kyle Wiltjer McFail <<< The Antoni I feel we should have an equal or better record than the one we had in 14-15. We are only missing the bench xfactor in Josh Smith!
That wcf run wasnt very impressive. It was amazing for Harden who led the playoffs that year in vorp and win shares. But lets take a look at our run Beat a mavs team in which rondo quit in the middle of the series and the team had a divided locker room We got lucky as the spurs and clippers beat the everlivin **** out of each for 7 games and it ended with cp3 spraining his hammy on the game winning layup. CP3 didnt play game 1 againist us and we still lost that game mcfail After avoiding the spurs and beating the depleted clippers. The warriors cleaned our clocks
You might be having a slight confirmation bias as you have provided premises that only uses the other team's short comings. You have noted injuries for other teams but failed to mention that we were the most injured team that year but still managed to get second seed in the west. That seeding gave us the luxury of not having to go up against the Spurs or clippers so them beating each other up was a byproduct of what we did in the regular season not because we got lucky. If being 2nd best in a conference where the 9th seed was 8 games above .500 and you only lost to the eventual champs does not impress you, nothing will.
Dude Harden was the reason we made the 2nd seed he came back from the world championships in amazing shape and was destroying everybody including the spurs and cavs. No team could guard him. The warriors were able to wear him down because shitty dwight has no offensive game
the last time I checked, this is still a team game. harden could not guard all 5 players nor can he score if all of them guarded only him. Is it too hard to give the other players and the rest of the staff some credit?
Yea it's weird, last year we won a game and then lost 2 every time. I honestly didn't think we would turn it around this quickly from last night year.
Horford would have been fine, but Bazemore - really? YIKES ! We have had luck save us from poor choices. DD
Don't jump to conclusions and read my response. I said it may not work out in our favour rather than us steam rolling against opponents who we haven't dominated. And most would agree Utah has the biggest room for improvement with their injuries.
Harden led the NBA in win shares, and was 2nd in rpm behind Lebron.. he was robbed of MVP. He didnt have another player on his team ranked in the top 100 in either catergory like Curry or LeBron. He carried the team PERIOD, and led the league in minutes played that year while dwight was on the sidelines stealing mr. alexanders money
cleverly disguised let's turn this into a Harden nuthugging thread . . . Spoiler: let's turn this into a Harden nuthugging thread
