    I'm not really into this kind of talk but I think it is a good goal for the team to get to 40 wins before they get to 20 losses. Right now we seem to be on a great track to do that. If we get to 40 before we get to 15 losses I'm going to go ahead and consider this team a contender.

    Look, I agree that the schedule is soft til just past mid-January and the Rockets need to take advantage of this. But I would never start a damn thread touting this after what happened last season! Close this sucker up now!

    We are currently 24-9

    There are 12 games before the 1/20/17 match up against GS.

    Sam Fisher would have the Rockets 36-9 going into that game.... on pace to win 66 games.

    If the Rockets struggle some, I could see them lose to: LAC, TOR, MEM and maybe MIL

    Assuming they only lose to LAC/TOR/MEM and you are looking at a robust 9-3 stretch.... 33-12, a pace of nearly 60 wins.

    Split against LAC/TOR and take care of MEM.... and you are talking about a 10-2 or 11-1 road trip.

    Either way the Rockets have an opportunity to build on their early season success......... 33-12 all the way to 34-10.

    Right now the Rockets would likely beat the Spurs head to head in the playoffs.

    The Warriors? Lets see how they match up over the next couple months.

    We could easily go 8-4 during that stretch. Need to treat each game as important. We haven't hit a stretch of poor play or cold shooting yet.
