Broncos and Chargers who are both out of the playoffs will determine what the AFC playoffs look like. I'm not sure what the mindset of either team will be. I could see both winning and I could see both tanking for draft.

Well that sucks.. I want either NE, DEN, KC to win or MIA, OAK, SD to win.. I guess however NE does in the noon game will dictate how I cheer in the 3PM games... I'm really scared we are going to get KC then NE...
I just don't buy that honestly. IMO by far the most likely scenario has New England, Denver, and KC winning and the first round opponent being Oakland. Denver will be looking to save face a bit after already being eliminated from the playoffs and KC will be wanting to lock up the division.
Week 17 KC wins Oakland loses Playoff seeding 1) New England 2) KC 3) Pitt 4) Houston 5) Oakland 6) Miami Houston over Oakland Miami over Pitt Second Round New England - Miami KC - Houston
Want nothing to do with KC in the first game.... hope we get Oakland.... shoulda beat them in Mexico.
yes, if NE wins the early game vs Miami, root for KC to win the afternoon game to avoid them in rd 1 if Miami wins, root for Chargers over Chiefs
I'm conflicted by this thread. On one hand, Pendergast calling the OAK/MIA path to AFC Championship game the 'dream scenario' is weak AF. You guys think NE or PIT are spending much time worrying about this crap? Good teams know they can beat anyone who lines up across from them. I'd like the Texans to have that mindset going into the playoffs.. and I'm sure the players/coaches do.. even if it's borderline delusional. On the other hand, I have zero faith in this Texans team. And sure it would be fun to watch a deep playoff run. But do we really want the organization to double down on their current way of thinking/methodology/philosphy/whatever you want to label it?
Im with all of this! **** KC, need to give them some payback. **** Oakland, need to give them some payback! My body is ready.
pittsburgh is all high and mighty but they let that qb with the hot wife lead a comeback against them. It took a hill wtf play and pittsburgh coaches in the middle of the field for them to get the win. Without 5 turnovers, any of these mofos can be got. (except UGGs and hoodie).
The Texans against the Pats in the second round sucks for 2 reasons. - Texans much less likely to make it out of the 2nd round - Pats get an opponent they've dominated, easily, in the playoffs. A Steelers/Pats game in round 2 is much better matchup!! And the media can happily slobber over that while not caring about the Texans/Raiders 2nd round game.
