Can't we trade KJ and Ennis to Philly for a conditional 2nd rounder and open up about $5 million in cap space to resign DMo on a one year deal, no options? I'm just not mentally ready for the Houston DMo story to be over.
It is incredibly sad. I am assuming this is the end of BJ Armstrong's career as an agent. I've never seen someone cost his client so much money.
and bj armstrong according to draftexpress has clients with a lot young european prospects, a lot of the prospects just think because bj armstong played with michael jordan he knows what the hell he is doing
Why would you get an agent who was a player, instead of an agent who is lawyer? Really makes you think.
His reputation will probably take a huge hit because of this. DMo's lost out on a lot of money and BJ was clueless throughout. He didn't even know when training camp was when DMo brought it up to him.
in europe the parents of these prospects often idolized the 90's bulls, so they are more familiar with armstrong
This is pretty accurate. I remember reading a recent Euro basketball blog and only thing they talked about were the 90s Bulls, Kobe,Shaq/Gasol Lakers, and Howard's Magic. Something like that. Some of these people don't stay current on their NBA info.
Why be grateful about having less depth on the team especially given Capela's injury? I mean, it's good that the situation is over with, but it was a very negative outcome for the Rockets.
It was only a negative outcome for the Rockets if we assume that Dmo can still be effective on the court. No matter what, though. This was a negative outcome for Dmo and he should fire his agent because the Rockets initial offers are going to dwarf whatever he gets paid now.
Which is a fairly safe assumption being that he was effective on the court in the last games he played for the team. For sure, this was all bad for him though, his agent was an idiot. This is one of those rare situations that ends poorly for the player AND the team.....and it's not yet clear as to why it ended up that way.
Do you really understand what the words "being polite and nice" mean? If a team called someone for a free try out and have no intension to sign him, why do they want to say anything bad about him? 1. If he is really that bad or really having serious health issues, you actually want the other teams to sign him instead. 2. If you want to bad mouth a guy (whether its the truth or not) came in for a free tryout, do you think it will help you to chase any FA in the future?
If anyone will believe that Dmo somehow is "too good" for the Lakers' plan to tank, well please wake up and google the agreement between Jim Buss and Jeanie Buss. http://www.silverscreenandroll.com/...-season-jeanie-buss-deadline-playoffs-tanking
I'm more than thankful he's not on the team anymore. His back is broke. He had a really solid half a season and people thought he was a god. There was no indication he was going to play like that again. Last year he was awful with a few solid games sprinkled in. Anywho him not being here allowed Trez and Sam to grow and in believe they are much better fits for this team.
He allowed it to happen. DMo I'm DoneMo. Isn't the prevailing wisdom is that he would need a month to get to game shape? Nuance would be back by them . Rocket River
