Hakeem was soooooooo much better than David Robinson and Tim Duncan. Not, even, close...

I never got to see Hakeem in his athletic prime in the mid to late 80s. I have a feeling '94 and '95 Hakeem was already on the decline despite the championships.

Nope. The Championship years were peak mergence of athletic prowess, mental acuity, and basketball experience.

Even before Hakeem gave him the Dream Shake, he was already shook!

I compared footage and he was definitely unbelievably athletic around '89 than he ever has been but much better b-ball IQ around '94.

Robinson was the Spurs....before Tim Duncan. That guy is the greatest Spur ever, it isn't even close in my opinion. Head to head Hakeem still sons him like he did the Admiral. He was beasting at a time when the were a lot of very good NBA teams. The first championship team especially did not look that good on paper. A bunch of junkyard dogs and Hakeem.

Rodman could only guard Dream by getting inside his head with cheap plays...Nut slaps, rib pokes, and dirty trips.

Good read but the way I recalled it Robinson played Hakeem straight up in the first two games and they started to double and triple team him in the next two games in Houston. That to me sounds like they didn't do it the Coach's way the first two games and lost and then did it the coach's way and they won.
