RUMOR: Mobley, Griffin and Nachbar to Celtics?

    This is very interesting. If this is true, Cato would be our starting PF since Battie will play backup of Yao or Cato. This wouldnt be a bad idea. I dont mind having Eric Williams cuz he's a pesky defender that can defend SF and SG. Although we see little action of Mobley in the preseason, he's very good at 1 on1 but not good of a shooter.

    I can only hope that if this trade is made, it's because Eddie truly intends to quit basketball and Cuttino's injury is worse than expected. Otherwise it's a lopsided trade that doesn't make any sense.

    Perhaps this is another financially motivated move since's Eric Williams 5.5 mil. contract expires at the end of this season.

    Not just yet.....

    The guy on this Boston radio show said he got this info. on the trade from Houston Rocket sources, whatever that means, and that Celtics' sources have not called them back yet.

    If this is true, and I just cant come to grips with it, then we would have to be getting at least 1 1st round pick from Boston in return.

    Did you guys hear that last caller? He said Griffin's girlfriend in the Philly area had a baby last summer, and she is not letting him see the kid, and that's why he's gone AWOL.

    Anyone know of any truth to that?

    personally I think these guys on 1510 are full of crap. I CANNOT see this trade happening! Battie and Williams ain't worth it!

    i feel like cat and nachbar are being punished for griffins problems. although williams is a poor mans posey and battie is a fine backup pf/C, i really dont want to see nachbar and cat wearing celtic green. does this open up a roster spot for someone?
