It seems crazy but he has been a good defender it seems. He doesn't have rim protection ability, but smart positional defense so far. He did very wel against gasol
Even if Ryno has a 2/8 shooting night he still spaces the floor so well he makes the offense way better. With Ryno on one side of Harden and EGo on the other and because they're able to shoot for so far away, there are moments we have by far the best spacing in the league. This opens up so many offensive options we aren't even close to maximizing the full potential of this squad.
There have been a few times where it would be a thing of beauty had he finished. He's good at creating separation that way, just has to gain the confidence/balance to finish it off
If you ever start getting irritated about Anderson making 18m, just remember: They've been interested in trading him just months after they signed him. At least Anderson's one excellent skill fits in perfectly with our star player.
I think he is good at both offensive and defensive. He is tall and is a good shooter. I suggest he should shoot more, as his goal percentage is quite good.
I really like Anderson on this team. People can complain all they want about the money, but he's a good fit. No he's not perfect, he will have some off nights, but he seems to show up in big moments.
He's starting to become more consistent. 4th straight double-digit scoring game on 50% shooting or above
That's good to hear but also please don't expect this to be his norm. He's not the kind of guy who will average 50% from the field. His defense on the other hand has improved and stayed that way for a good 10-15 games now. He's at least an average defender these days.
He's actually pretty good at moving off the ball and getting open. He doesn't just stand there like a stiff and wait, like Steve Novak or someone like that. Once he perfects the spin move he'll live up to his contract.
