After just watching ESPN the life I have even more confidence than I ever have had about this team. Throughout the program Cuttino and Steve over and over stressed that they want to win something here. When they said they know it will take time also gave me confidence. Some people have wondered about Steve going to the Wizards in a few years but unless something changes I think he really wants to stay here. Also looks like Cuttino has a really nice house being built. I think they showed a sign saying it was in Royal Oaks Golf Club. Not sure exactly where that is but I don't think it's in sugarland with the rest of the rockets lol. Overall great show and both players want to be here for a long long long time it seems. I say we go ahead and extend Francis contract until about 2008 or so at least. While he still loves it here ------------------ Shane "Save Our Rockets" "Life without basketball in Houston........without an arena that is what it will be"
What time did this come on? The front page says 9 but I turned on the TV and it's some stupid NASCAR thing. ------------------ Word to your mother!
nascar is on now. the steve francis and mobley thing came on about 9am on espn.. but only lasted like 10 minutes ------------------ Shane "Save Our Rockets" "Life without basketball in Houston........without an arena that is what it will be"
I wish it was the whole half hour. I was under that impression. ANyways, it was up lifting and you realize how good their friendship is. Give them a few years and the word 'Championship' can be seriously talked about. It was kinda lame how they didn't even get the Ferraris. They got little scotters. ------------------ "GiddyUP!!!" Damn when I got up Mark Martin's life was on ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
I feel jipped. I thought it would be the whole 30 mins. Oh well the ten mins of them was good while it lasted. ------------------ Arkansas' Biggest Rocket Fan!
Man, you guys, you've got to PLAN this stuff...it started at 8 for me, and I was awake and ready to go at 7:30...although I probably could have waited, it's not like ESPN never shows any re-runs of things like that... But after watching that, damn, I love this team. That kind of chemistry is rare in the NBA. I especially loved Cuttino's saying how some guys are just in it for the money, the mackin on the girls, etc...but not he and Steve. Maybe cuz they're mackin on eachother. Sorry, I couldn't help myself. I KNOW I'm going to regret saying that. Good piece, though. ------------------ Jazzkiller
LOL! It was very good watching how good of a relationship they have. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
I am not sure what time it is, but THE Life reruns on Wednesdays. I think sometime in the afternoon. ------------------ Stevierebel
You guys are b****ing about the early start time, try the West Coast. The show came on at 7am here...so I taped it. Those guys are so tight, I can't imagine a better situation as a basis for the future of the organization. These days it's hard to find unity like that on a team. The only comparison I can make (and I hate doing it, but it's true) is Stockton & Malone. Like Steve said on the show, he's only known Cat for 2 years, but it feels like 10. Just wait until they get another 2-3 years of playing time together under the belt. I envision one of the best backcourts in the game...ever. ------------------
Royal Oaks is the Fred Couples development with an awesome golf course! Played it once... The houses are awesome. I heard there are a other professional athletes living or having houses built there. I am sure Mobes and Franchise are filling it up on the course and at the country club. The club has a full spa, health center, restaurant and fine facilities. The best part is that everyone can get in. All you need is 60k for the initiation : )...you could be black, brown, yellow, green and get in the this place! ------------------ "Their Tiger Kung Fu is strong, but our Dragon will defeat them!"
Royal Oaks needs a requirment that you must LIVE there for at least 20 years. And if you don't live in the house at least half of the year you have to pay a million or so fine. We need to make sure our players don't try to leave the city ------------------ Shane "Save Our Rockets" "Life without basketball in Houston........without an arena that is what it will be"
I just hope it dosen't come on at 9 again ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
Royal Oaks is off of Westheimer somewhere between the Beltway and Highway 6. I was there looking at some houses and I stress the looking part. They range from 330,000.00 to 3,000,0000. One of the guys told us that Cuttino was building a house there and had already built one for his mother who will live within sight of her son. I told the guy that I love my mother but not so much for her to live in the same neigborhood. They were some fat houses though. ------------------ Rockets Season Ticket Holder
I live next to Royal Oaks...houses START at $300,000...I guess those would be the Royal Oaks Projects. I played on the course there as a guest and I can attest to the houses being VERY nice. Old School ------------------ I voted YES!
The guys are going to live in the Royal Oaks Subdivision. It is on the corner of Westihmer and Wilcrest, near that Jack in the Crack. The biggest house so far is Nick Van Excel, the lot itself cost 1 mil by itself. I happen to talk to his contractor. Steve and cuttino are also dealing with this person. Houston is the place to be, and they are not going anywhere soon. This person only had great things to say about Cuttino. The other two I did not ask about, I was just happy to hear something great about the Rockets. ------------------ "Instinctly u recognize things, now take advantage of what u just recognized!".. Hakeem..
hmm.. i guess i better start saving money.. maybe i can live in that neighborhood by the time mobley's son makes it to the nba lol ------------------ Shane "Save Our Rockets" "Life without basketball in Houston........without an arena that is what it will be"
Do they play golf?? Does anyone know? btw- here is the schedule AGAIN for the show: http://thelife.radicalmedia.com/ ------------------ Poopy! [This message has been edited by Ali Cat (edited March 04, 2001).]
11706 Empress Oaks I am going to check it out over Spring Break, see if Cuttino and Steve are riding their scooters around the block. I thought it was so funny how Cuttino said, "hey, let me ride it.", and Steve just rode right on by him without stopping, and Cuttino said "HEY!!!!". Just like two best friends screwing around with each other. I laughed several times throughout the program, seeing how well they get along. ------------------ "You couldn't have stuck a pin up his @#! with a jackhammer.
